Typo on about pageThe about page says:
A bit of a troublemaker, his reputation ranges from being nothing more that an incorrigible scamp
I think it means to say:
"nothing more than an", I think "that" is meant to be "than".

Thanks for the roaming link, it looks like Vodafone have come on leaps and bounds since I left Australia. :-) – Callum Macdonald, on October 20, 2009 04:09

Post pay is a completely different product.
My second point is absolutely correct. There are numerous reasons why a person might want to put more than a single voucher's worth of credit on their account. My point about long calls with a low balance stands. As for the point about roaming, buying and carrying vouchers overseas seems significantly more complicated and risky than simply applying them to the account in advance. – Callum Macdonald, on October 20, 2009 04:09

Thanks for the tip. It's a little late I'm afraid, I left Australia last year.
I'm pleased to see Vodafone on here though. I believe I created the first topic for Vodafone AU on getsatisfaction.
As a slight aside, are you sure you can add the top-ups while abroad? My experience has been that most shortcodes don't work abroad. I can't remember the vodafone topup procedure, if it involves texting or calling, it might not work abroad. If it does work abroad, it might cost an international call to apply the top up.
Just noticed your note about PayPal recharge, that would have been really useful while I was in Aus. – Callum Macdonald, on October 20, 2009 00:23

Red, I strongly disagree.
I'll respond to one point specifically "why would you want to put another voucher on before your current one has finished anyway??"
To me this answer is obvious. If I have a small balance remaining and I want to make a long call, I want to put the new credit onto the phone first, before making the call. Otherwise, in the middle of the call, when I'm disconnected, I need to add a new voucher. That's an inconvenience to me.
Another example is if I'm going to be overseas. I probably can't add vouchers while abroad, so I'd like to be able to put several vouchers on at the same time. – Callum Macdonald, on October 19, 2009 15:07

Did you read Vodafone's T&C before you signed up? I certainly didn't.
Is a law just because you know it's a law? I don't think so. I support the likes of the Civil Rights movement in the United States. I support peaceful protest and civil disobedience in the interests of repairing broken laws.
The fact that Vodafone have written in small letters that they're going to screw you doesn't make it justifiable for them to then screw you. – Callum Macdonald, on October 15, 2009 14:31

There's a few plugins on WordPress.org, so there's plenty of ways to make it work today:

I'm posting to twitter, facebook, a bunch of others and my blog. Status updates are not showing up on any of the three I care about (facebook / twitter / blog). Same issue, they show in recent posts but haven't been sent.
I'm going to post them manually, I hope they don't get re-sent at some point in the future once ping.fm figures out the problem.

Glad to see Vodafone on the ball here. I missed your message 3 months ago and I'm now long out of Australia. Unfortunately, my lasting impression of Vodafone in Australia is poor.
I'm glad to hear things are changing though. Perhaps next time I'm in Australia I'll be better served by Vodafone. – Callum Macdonald, on August 04, 2009 14:59

Callum Macdonald replied on December 22, 2008 20:13 to the problem "OpenID login loses comment text" in Get Satisfaction:
A simple solution would be to make it clearer whether you are currently logged in or not. That would be an easy fix.
Currently, I get back to the site (always having clicked remember me) and so I assume I'm logged in. But often I'm not. I would log in before responding if my current login status was more obvious.
To make matters worse, after clicking "submit", the text box is greyed out. Thus, I can't copy my message to save it until after my openID login.
