I come back to GetSatisfaction but I'm not logged in. When I add a comment it prompts me to sign up / in, then if I want to sign in with OpenID, I lose my comment. Frustrating much. :(

Yeah, I realise how the system works. I thought when I clicked "Cancel" it would have cancelled the report. I've just tested with the option "I've changed my mind" and it still says "Under review". I think if I click either option my inappropriate report should be discarded. The interface is definitely not clear on how that will be handled. Otherwise, clicking inappropriate is an unreversable action. – Callum Macdonald, on October 29, 2008 21:54

Not specifically related, but I was playing around with the "inappropriate" link. I clicked it and then clicked "Cancel", but now I'm seeing "Under review" instead of the inappropriate link. Bug?

It was tareq.mohd's question I clicked.

Sean's reply to "Ping.Fm down?" was just promoted to the most useful! Callum Macdonald and 8 other people think it's one of the best replies.

Just to set everyone at ease, we are simply waiting on GoDaddy to update their end so that this mess becomes history. I've been in direct contact with them. Actually, the office of the President of GoDaddy called me personally ensuring that they are working on this with a high priority.

Everyone can do us a favor by just spreading the word that everything in power is being done to correct this. And be known that we aren't going anywhere. This isn't us leaving, nor shutting down. This is a problem that has come between service provider and client. It's unfortunate, but it happens.

This should all go away any time now.

Thanks for your continued support through some wrenches in the system. Keep on pingin! (Bots still work.)

Is there a date when WP 2.6 or 2.7 will be supported by this plugin? We're about to embark on some geotagging and geosearch stuff, and this could be a useful foundation. If necessary, we'll update the plugin. But if it's already in-progress, no need to duplicate effort.

It would be nice if there was a way to not auto-shorten urls. For example, I want to post a few useful urls in the tweet, and I want them to show, I don't want them obscured.

Can we file a request with twitter somehow? Or is this message sufficient?

Instead of requesting a new password you can specify your own password. Just leave the "current password" field empty and enter your new password twice. Then you have a username and a password for identi.ca.

Simplest option is to create an SMS to email gateway. Like this guy:

Until ping.fm launch their own SMS service. But even then, it might still be a US based shortcode, in which case, it probably won't work for international users.

A shortcode might complicate matters. It might not work internationally. A regular GSM no should work fine, although it's harder to remember. I believe you can get incoming SMS gateways fairly inexpensively, but it still might be beyond the budget. – Callum Macdonald, on July 24, 2008 23:59
