Hello
In Ubuntu it suffices to make a link for just /usr/lib/flashplugin-installer/libflashplayer.so (default location in Ubuntu) in the Songbird application folder's plugins directory (Songbird/plugins).
By using a link, the plugin gets automatically updated when the main Flash plugin package gets updated by the package manager.
I did it manually here and works like a charm.
Of course, when the developers make the app detect the plugin automatically, this is no longer needed.
