Rightholders such as authors, artists, record labels and publishers will receive compensation based on their pro-rata share of plays in Spotify, i.e. in a linear fashion. The more your songs are played, the higher royalties you will receive.

We are on a regular basis receiving content from our content providers (rightholders/labels). Thus, we do not have to search for new music since the new music is coming to us. However, the updates, delivery and ingestion of new content may take some time but we are doing our best to speed up this process.

Thanks for your input and question.
We are continuously entering into agreements with more content owners in purpose to supply our users with more and more music. This is an ongoing and time consuming process but I can assure you that we are doing our best to add the newest (and older) radio songs into Spotify asap. Hopefully, you will find the songs you were looking for within a short time.

Hi,
If you would like to play music (via Spotify or cd etc) in commercial settings then you must always pay a fee to collecting societies such as STIM. This is a contractual relationship between you (as the owner of the pub etc) and the current collecting society. Thus, same principle is applicable independent of the music source.

We have entered into agreement with all the major labels and the biggest indie-aggregators. Unfortunately, some of your favorite artists are not covered by these rightsholders. Spotify will continuously ingest music while entering into more agreements with rightsholders. Please note, that you can find replacements to lost tracks by double clicking on the red-marked track.

Thanks, we are kind of proud of the app as well!

The only Spotify application available for the moment is the private beta-version. In other words, it ́s only a test version. We are however constantly adding content (new and old music) and our prior aim is to enable as much content as possible.
