Thank you for adding it to the request.
It would clearly help if there was an option in the "Manage Music" preferences like "Exclude these folders..." and it will import and manage everything in the designated music folder except the ones specified there. This would also solve the problem of videos getting in the library.
Accidentally I played one and had only sound. So I suspect Songbird won't play any video files, correct? Then why does it even bother importing them? That I see as a bug and not a feature....
As I like it all neatly organized in my library I don't like the tag and smart playlist solution. I thought about just working with playlists but that doesn't change that the audiobooks lurk around in the library view... -

Excluding files from the library?I like to listen to Audiobooks and so my iTunes library is fileld with quite some of them. Is there a way of excluding them from the normal Library in Songbird? I also have several Videos in iTunes and they also show up in the Songbird Library...
The best thing would be to introduce an Audiobook category below the Library (maybe even Video or exclude them altogether) -

And sadly the FireDownload Plugin doesn't work with CompatabilityCheck disabled. Hope to see a version supporting FF 3.1b2 soon. -
