I guess it is because for the frontpage you have to pass by the settings...

Why not the Front Page? With all due respect, it's kind of lame that I can't set the title bar of the First Impression of my site (not that I have a 'site' yet, just getting started).

There are two ways to change the name of a wiki page.

1) Go to 'see all pages' (at the bottom right of your wiki page, under the heading 'wiki settings')
2) Click the 'rename' button for the page that you would like to rename.

On any wiki page -- except for the front page --you will see a link that says 'rename page'. This link is located on the bottom right of your wiki page (under the heading 'page information')
