In my case, no amount of cache flushing or browser or PC swapping fixed the problem. The problem was on Slideshare's end. Though I was just told "try it now" and it worked so I can't really say what the problem was. I just know that a rep from slideshre did something and it worked.-
Chris marked one of sugandha's replies in SlideShare as useful. sugandha replied to the problem "Embed isn't updating when updating the presentation".

Embed isn't updating when updating the presentationMy Slideshare presentation updates almost instantly, but the embed is showing a much older version.
I have tried several things.
I started by flushing cache.
I tried 3 different browsers (Chrome, FF, and IE)
I tried uploading from 3 different PC's
At first the presentation wouldn't update at all. Since then 7 of the 51 pages have mystiriously updated (the backgrounds are different).

The probem has to be with Slideshare. Its been 4 days it's been showing up like this. To say I'm frustrated is an understatment at this point and given the number of complaints on this matter going back several months I'm surprised there isn't a clear resoulution on this problem. -

I'm having the same issue. The presentation updates instantly, but the embed is showing a much older version.
Here is what I have learned. I logged into my presentation from a different PC and the Slideshare page also shows the older version. Then I noticed that 8 out of 51 slides were showing the newer version (I changed the background)
The problem has to be on slideshre's side I have 5 PC's and I have tried going to a new PC each time I upload. I'm out of first time PC's
