It could be a DNS issue if you are in different locations - I've run into similar things with relatively new domains, especially when redirects are involved.
Once the domain servers even themselves out, your client will hopefully not have any more issues - I just tested from San Francisco and didn't run into any issues.-

Chris replied on March 12, 2009 08:22 to the question "Is there a way to personalize the description for my website ad on Google?" in Yola:
Hi Andy1, I just wanted to add to the comments that Google doesn't always display the page description that you put into your meta tags - Google bases the snippet it shows on a number of factors.
To quote Google's help pages:
"Google's creation of sites' titles and descriptions (or "snippets") is completely automated and takes into account both the content of a page as well as references to it that appear on the web.
We use a number of different sources for this information, including descriptive information in the META tag for each page."
While there's a good chance that your meta tags will be shown on Google, I wanted to post this so you didn't panic if they don't update as you'd like.
Congrats on your placement!
Chris replied on March 12, 2009 08:14 to the question "Google seems to be crawling old cache site." in Yola:
Hi Will, it's my experience that some updates to Webmaster Tools (WMT) come in stages - they don't always match the data to the last crawl date. Essentially, they crawl at one time but don't update the information until later.
I wouldn't be worried - the information that shows up on your page is what matters most. WMT is a good tool to show you major issues, but is certainly fallible especially for smaller sites.-
