Chris Brummel asked a question in Newsgator on July 30, 2009 20:44:
Will there be more integration with Instapaper than in 3.2beta?Love the integration with Instapaper, but I thought it might take over the "Clippings" feature by being able to display what you've saved in NetNewsWire instead of requiring me to go to Instapaper. Is that feature coming?

Rules?? Maybe Opt-In for Weekly Competition??You can only play a game when the players agree upon the rules. It makes sense to me to have a loose set of rules that are agreed upon by the user base.
These make sense to me (but please give your own suggestions):
- Must have intent to stay at a checked in location longer than 30 min.
- The checked-in location must be a public place.
- The checked-in location must be someplace in which you are capable of being social. (i.e. Not @ your coffee shop job or while running errands)
- Strong suggestion you buy from the establishment if it is a bar/restaurant.
If folks felt that there was no need for something like this, I'd understand. But if there was the option to "agree to the rules" (whatever the "rules" may be) in order to show up on the leaderboard, I'd hope it would cut down on people cheating or checking in at their house to get points. Or at least closer to folks playing by the same rules. Thoughts or ideas?

Optionally enter Home & Work locationsI'd love to check into my home and work so that friends know where I'm at, but I don't want to be *cheap* when I'm competing in the weekly leaderboard.
Could there be a way to optionally add in your home and work locations so that they aren't tallied for points? Additionally, an option so that they are only listed as "Home" and "Work" for people less comfortable listing out their exact addresses?

Add friends to History page check ins.I love using the History page as a way to track my activity. It'd be extremely helpful if you could add what friends I've checked in with at the various locations.
Yes?

Opt-In to show Twitter usernameThere have been times in which I've seen great tips and I'll want to contact the creator of such a fine tip, but I'll have no means as to do so.
I'd love it if there was an ability to opt-in to display my Twitter username so that people could contact me if they so choose. Even a foursquare message system would do...

Dennis - Do you have existing data on who is "Adding A Venue" and how much they've already done so? This could be a quality qualifier for "Super-User"... – Chris Brummel, on April 06, 2009 18:20-

I've been going through the trouble of checking in at the non-existing venue on my iPhone w/ the Foursquare app. Logging into Foursquare.com, creating the venue in Safari. Then checking back in at the newly created venue with the Foursquare app. Then deleting my extraneous checkin...
Ugh... I guess I have a problem...-
