Interesting! I don't need the comments reposted, that's fine. Are you guys utilizing Akismet to spam filter? I have run into an issue where my (valid, non-spam) email address and/or url consistently get flagged as spam by Akismet. I've tried to work it with them to no avail.

At a minimum, yeah, if you can fix the bug so admin comments are never flagged as spam, then that would fix my symptoms.

Even more detail: when I'm at home using FF3.0.5 everything seems to work fine. At work, using FF3.1b2 and through the firewall, I see this issue.

When I use IE7 at work, I can't even seem to get logged in on my blog, so I can't really test it. (I can log in to the ID site from IE7 at work, but that login doesn't seem to carry over to my blog.)

Additional point of information: the original commenter on my blog signed up for email notifications, and he just told me he has received email notifications for each time I've tried to reply to his comment. So it sounds like the comment is getting through ID far enough for it to be emailed out, but it's not getting saved correctly.

Next bit of info: it appears that if I email a comment reply, it shows up fine. Only when I try to leave one on my site directly does it fail.

OK, so it looks like other people's comments show up (Michael Koenig just commented here: http://www.chrishubbs.com/2009/01/25/...)

but any comments I add to my own posts don't show up! Sad panda.

Comments not being saved

I have tried multiple times in the last hour or two to post a comment or a reply to a comment on my own blog (http://www.chrishubbs.com/2009/01/27/...) and while the comment shows up in all its AJAXy goodness, as soon as I reload the page the comment is gone.

It doesn't snow up in my IntenseDebate dashboard and isn't saved into my Wordpress database. What's going on?

Is this something where we need to respond on a case-by-case basis? My blog has been at "Queued, waiting for import" for 48 hours now. Is that normal?
