Replying to my own post, installing Mac from http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/ solved my problem. I'm guessing that installing the Missing Sync for Windows Mobile somehow messed up macfuse.
Anyhow both Expandrive and Missing Sync are working.

Chris McDonald reported a problem in ExpanDrive on May 19, 2009 13:53:

Finder is not mounting the remote drives.
Expandrive is not mounting any sftp drives on my macbook. The indicator in the drive manager is green but no volume is showing up in the finder. I had a look in the console, under all messages, the following is showing up:

From what I can gather, this started happening after I installed the 10.5.7 update, though I can't be sure. I also installed an updated version of The Missing Sync for windows mobile.
Reinstalling, fixing drive permissions, rebooting is not helping. I'm getting the same behavior all the time.
