Eliminate is Live in Canada only right now, requiring a Canadian iTunes account. We plan to release globally very, very soon. Follow ngmoco on Twitter for the latest news on the Global release!

Thanks for your question. The recharge time is intentional. During beta testing, the recharge was tuned faster for testing purposes. Currently, players can receive 3 energized games for free every 12 hours (6 per day). Players can continue to play 'unenergized' for free as long as desired or buy additional power cells to earn credits and experience preferential matchmaking wait times between free recharges. Being a large-scale persistent online game with global servers to maintain, we feel the current balance of free-to-paid experience is appropriate. Being a live game, we're monitoring usage, progress and feedback and intend to fine tune various aspects of the game experience over time.

    best,

Chris P replied on October 31, 2009 00:33 to the question "Eliminate; 6 Games per recharge?" in ngmoco:

    Chris P
By default, Eliminate is set to Three games per full recharge
The bar does have extra tic marks on it, but they do not equate to one game each. I hope you enjoy the game.

Chris P replied on October 23, 2009 16:13 to the question "Rolando 2 Purchase Question" in ngmoco:

    Chris P
    Thanks again for the questions.

To further clarify, Rolando 2: Quest for the Golden Orchid ($4.99) and Rolando 2: Chapter One (free) both include the latest version of the award-winning game, Rolando 2: Quest for the Golden Orchid. The main difference between the two apps is that in the original game, you buy the entire experience up front for $4.99 and in "Chapter One", you can play the first chapter for free and choose to buy the remaining chapters individually - or all at once - for the same price as the original Rolando 2 game.

The choice is yours. If you already love Rolando, then it's probably more convenient to buy the game all at once for $4.99. If you're not sure, then try the "Chapter One" app for free and buy the rest of the game in stages or all at once for the same price. Both apps provide access to the same great gameplay and six exciting chapters. We intend to keep them both up to date with one another.

Here are some additional details on the differences between the apps:

=> In "Rolando 2: Quest for the Golden Orchid", you buy the entire game up front for $4.99. This is the lastest version of the original release of Rolando 2. It does not include the option to buy chapters individually. You pay once and the entire game is yours, just as it always has been.

=>In "Rolando 2: Chapter One", you can play the first full chapter (plus the first level from Chapter 2) for free with the option to purchase the rest of the game, one-chapter-at-a-time, for ~$0.99 per chapter, or all at once for $4.99. Buying the chapters individually or all at once adds up to the same overall cost. The "Chapter One" app requires players to log in the first time they play. Once logged in, your scores and awards are saved online and posted to our global leader boards automatically. Offline play is fully supported. You only need to sign in the first time you play. Sign in using your Plus+ network profile or create one for free (takes about 60 seconds) from the login screen. We do not share your profile information with third parties. The "Chapter One" app also includes two movies that were not included in the original release; a brief intro movie when you first launch the app and a brief story video that plays before Chapter 2. Both Videos are derived from content available for free on Rolando2.ngmoco.com.

We hope you enjoy the choice to buy Rolando 2 all-at-once or one-chapter-at-a-time. The game and overall value is the same. The choice is yours.

thank you and enjoy Rolando 2!

Try quitting the app and relaunching it, then try purchasing the chapter again.
Also, be sure you are still logged into plus+ when attempting the purchase.

Can't get past level 2? here's the easy answer
If you get stuck on Level 2, simply tap the Rolando icons on edge of screen to find the other Rolandos. The Rolandos tell you to tap the markers on the edge of the screen, but I saw a user review where someone got stuck on level 2, so here's a reminder to take heed of the Rolandos. Later in the game, you'll learn to use 2 fingers to scroll your view, which is also very useful. Those Rolandos can provide some pretty useful tips :)
