Chris Rodricks replied on August 23, 2009 04:57 to the question "ipod touch please help" in Apple:
I think you need to have Version 8.2 iTunes software loaded. When you connect your iPod to your PC iTunes should automatically load and your ipod should sync. To connect to your wi-fi you need to enter your router security password in wi-fi settings. It you are still having trouble email me at rodricks.chris@gmail.com.
Have a great day!
Chris Rodricks replied on August 23, 2009 04:38 to the problem "light from screen is coming out of the side of my ipod touch" in Apple:
Replacement iPod Touch Devices are very clumsily put back together. These are the refurbished ones they hand you when you take your original iPod Touch for warranty repairs. If you look closely at the section where the screen glass meets the metal frame, you should see a skinny rubber seal. Shine a flashlite along the length of the seal and you will find gaps which, in my humble opinion, could cause moisture leaks. I looked at two replacements and both had seals that were very sloppily installed -- probably by hand. Brand new ones do not have this problem and the seal appears to be very neatly, and precisely installed as this is done by machine. If you are being handed a replacement check out the seal in direct sunlight or with a flashlite. If the seal is defective ask for another one. You probably won't get one as they are all defective. So what do you do? Ask for the manager and insist on a new iPod Touch. Do not accept a sloppy replacement.
