All Projects view does not limit to just projects for the logged in client

When accessing the reports as a client, the All Projects view shows tickets from all clients and projects, not just limited to the logged in client. The "Group" views do appear to limit properly.

Cool, so long as I can choose via SMS. I think it's important to not make street name a requirement as I rarely know the street address of a place, just how to get there.

Ah, OK. Thanks for the explanation. When the update is finished, will I still be able to do things like "@Trader Joes, Shrewsbury, MA" (or some other unambiguous store name) and have it figure out where I am without supplying a street name?

Still no dice. I just checked in and posted a comment. It appears in my private friend stream, but not in my public stream, nor on Twitter. Let me know if I can do anything else to test or if you need to know anything about how I have my account set up. I don't mind being a guinea pig to get this working. (I'm debugging my own stuff today anyways, so I'm in the mode :) )

Oh, awesome. I didn't know you could do "about" posting when not checked in (actually, just hadn't bothered to look), but that makes sense, and the sharing works as I would expect it to. Thanks for the response and explanation :)

Thanks for the update. The last check-in time is OK and I can now check in from the web site. Items #3 and 4 are still present.

I'm confused - I thought once you checked in to a place, any notes you posted from there on in (pictures included) were automatically "about" that last check in place. Am I wrong??? What's the difference between an "about" post and a non-about post???

Brightkite is just all-over broken

1. Currently can't check in from the web. Tried through the search bar and my place marks list. In both cases the page reloads (or throbber throbs), but I'm still checked in at my last location.


2. I last checked in about 3 hours ago from SMS, but the time in Brightkite is off by 2 hours. (Says I checked in only 1 hour ago)


3. My updates don't appear on my public stream despite having my Everyone Else privacy settings set to "city". The last item on my public list is from last evening, but I've checked in twice (failed check in not included) and posted at least 4 notes since then.


4. My notes and pictures don't cross post to Twitter despite having Twitter sharing enabled and the appropriate privacy settings.

I would love to keep using this application (would in fact use it as a proxy for Twitter) but it seems like it's still too broken to be reliably usable, even for a beta.

How long does it usually take to sync a note to Twitter? I have Twitter synchronization enabled, and in privacy settings I have it set to "city" for everyone else. I updated via mobile e-mail about 10 minutes ago, but Twitter doesn't show new status.

Ditto on WinXP - I've seen this problem with lots of desktop -> web service apps. What's the problem with sending non-alphanumeric chars? I don't like having to change my strong PW to a weaker one to accommodate a buggy app :(

Bill -thanks for the reply. It was indeed a unix permissions error. I had previously updated the project while logged in as root, so when I went to update again while logged in as a different user all of the new plugin files were owned by root and I couldn't override them, specifically the svn meta files.

I installed the plugin into my development copy, then committed to our SVN repository, and finally svn-up'd our staging and production environments. Everything's working fine with the plugin, but when I go to do another svn update on staging I get an error "svn: Can't open file 'vendor/plugins/newrelic_rpm/.svn/lock': Permission denied" Any idea what I need to do to get around this?
