already in there ;) we've added it, and as soon as we push version 2.0 you'll see it! – Matt Galligan, on June 03, 2008 04:25

+1 for a desktop app. Take socialthing to the desktop and it'd be pretty sweet. – Ed, on April 27, 2008 09:23

To that end, I mentioned it elsewhere, a custom domain feature so instead of hosting the "pretty lifestream", I can just re-direct to it. If I can then wrap that with my theme (header, sidebar, etc.) to have it mesh with my site, I would be extremely happy. – Batona, on April 26, 2008 11:41

with this it would be nice if the API could decipher from upload and storage services from micro-blogging or text only services that don't allow images or files to be uploaded. – shegs, on April 25, 2008 03:13

A way to inject external data into my socialthing stream. If I want to import my studiVZ.de updates, I should be able to write software (on my end) that grabs these updates and sends them to socialthing in a unified format.
Basically, an interface to add support for arbitrary services. Outsource the support for new services to the users that care about them!

Agreed, before social thing I used to have twhirl and pownce .AIR apps running, would be great to have a single one. – techAU, on April 22, 2008 23:26

Or an XMPP pubsub API like Twitter has recently started using – Stephen Paul Weber, on April 21, 2008 20:27

Use of standards (RSS or ATOM / microformats) for as much as possible + OAuth for authentication.
List of actions for one user. List of actions for all friends of one user. Just the links (tweeted or bookmarked or blog permalinks, etc) for one or more users.
APML? You have a lot of attention data on people, this could be interesting.
APP support for the posting API. AtomPub in general could work well for a lot of your data (read and write) - but with OAuth, not BasicAuth.
JSONP as a secondary option on everything public (if anything) would be nice... JSONP maybe behind OAuth as well, although it's less useful there (JS can do OAuth though, so maybe).
Get list of user's profiles / user's friends (XFN + hCard)
Ability to add/remove profiles to a user's account.
