I guess that java calls external libraries to get access to functions available in Gnome or KDE, but when running a 32bit java in a 64bit environment these libraries are only available as 64bit.
I tried using getlib to download 32bit versions of the used libraries, but I never managed to get all needed libraries.
The best would be if they could release a 64bit version of wuala.

Nadan: Yes I'm using ia32-sun-java-bin, I recently tested on a fresh installation of Jaunty x64 and the steps I had to go though in order to make the fsi work were:
1, install portmap, nfs-common and ia32-sun-java6-bin
2, add the mount-point in fstab
But in your case it could be that you have a nfs-server running that conflicts with Wuala's built-in nfs-server, try uninstalling all nfs-packages except nfs-common, or at least make sure that there are no nfs-server running.

Im using file system integration on Jaunty x64, the packages you need are portmap and nfs-common, then you can also add the following line to your /etc/fstab and wuala will mount the fsi-folder on startup
localhost:/wuala /home/<yourname>/wuala/direct nfs defaults,users,noauto,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,timeo=14,intr,nolock,soft</yourname>

Christopher reported a problem in Wuala on April 08, 2009 06:35:
Xubuntu64 - Unable to launch files directly from the wuala browserI'm using 32bit sun-java on xubuntu(jaunty) 64bit, i have file system integration up and running but I'm unable to launch files directly from the wuala browser. When I try to open a files wuala downloads the files as it should but then nothing happens. The same happens when I try to launch video files, wuala starts with buffering the file but when it says that it's launching the application nothing happens.
If i start wuala from a terminal I get these errors:
libcanberra-gtk-module.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
libxfce.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
and when I try to open a video files i get this:
libgioremote-volume-monitor.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
libgvfsdbus.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
libgiogconf.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64
I guess this is because I'm running 32bit java on a 64bit system, but is there any solution to this? It would be really nice to see a 64bit version of Wuala soon.
