Hmm. 2/3 finger taps means you can't do it with one hand, but i like the idea that i could customize it. You could make it whatever want by default but if i could customize it then i would have no problem. So, if you could get rid of that 5 second countdown that would be great. Maybe the two finger tap could be used to discard it or to bring up the options. also when i'm done adding a task i'd like to go back to the list to view my tasks. i often only want to add one task

wow, thanks for the quick reply. I am a UI programmer so I do appreciate what you were trying to do. Couldn't this all still be achieved by a hybrid of the two methods?
On the front screen you could have 2 plus signs, one on the lop left, one on the top right (for example, though probably not my first choice as far as appearance).
Once it's hit, it begins recording immediately. You could then detect a few seconds of silence (like google does in it's app). You could even do the thing that google does where you put it up to your ear and it begins recording, and stops when you take it away. Or if you need to, i like the tap anywhere in the screen idea. Or allow all three for flexibility.
You could also change the autosave to 2 seconds, or 1 second, or make that time configurable (That would make it a million times better).
With this plan you could bring it back to 6 seconds, reduce it to 0 clicks, and you could even keep the features of "no-eyes recording" and you could even keep the quick-add thing in there instead of going back to the screen. (or you could make that an option in settings). You could also make it an option in settings where it first opens to (last opened screen, new voice task, etc.) I don't generally think user settings are not the way to go though, it should just work seamlessly and efficiently for 90% of your users.
I really rely on your app, so thanks!
Thanks,
Chris

slowness when adding a taskOkay, 99% of the time, i just want to get in, add a quick voice task, and get out. This is what slows me down in v2.0:
1. I open the app and it takes 5 or so seconds (much longer than v1 it seems)
2. Hit the big plus sign
3. Tap "anywhere" to start
4. tap anywhere to stop
5. WAIT 5 SECONDS FOR AUTOSAVE ahhhh
So this takes me 3 clicks and at least 10 seconds. Sorry to sound like a whiner but the real problem is that it was so much better in v1. I thik it was 2 clicks and <5 seconds.

Too many clicks to add a voice task.Boy i'm really disappointed with 2.0 (sorry about that!) I really liked v1, and by far my biggest complaint is speed. I want to use this app a lot, so it needs to be efficient. 1 or at most 2 clicks to add a new voice task, that's all i can tolerate! Pleeeeese fix.
