Why would you lose money? The bundles seem at least to me to grant the buyer of the book the electronic copy of the same book for a few bucks more. (makes perfect sense). So how is it that you lose money doing the buy 2, 1 free deal on the books? If that was the case you'd lose money just selling the books that way also. I think the main problem is how you apply the discounts. You should should probably sell the bundles as their own SKU or part number and then the free book deal should be based on the books, not an all-around discount. Buy 2 books, get the the 3rd of equal or lesser value free. In my case I'd save like $14 since I had a couple of higher priced book and one cheapo. So I had expected to just get the cheapo book, pay for the PDF add-ons and go.

Strange system. It was just weird to see that I could buy the books alone for around $50 with the 3 for 2 deal. The books & PDF's using the bundle code for around $90 and the 3 for 2 deal on the books & PDF's came in over $110. I was half expecting since the bundle deal added only $10 to the original cost of the books that I would see about the same increase in the 3 for 2 deal. (get a book free, pay for 2 books and 3 sets of PDF add-ons).

Oh well. I'll probably just get the books.. the PDF's were for convenience.

    thanks,

So, I want to buy 3 books with the PDF's but it seems that if you try to do this and take advantage of the 3 for 2 deal you get totally hosed and it charges you full price for the PDF's. My $60 book order turns into a $110 order when I apply OPD10 as a coupon. If I just buy just the books it's like $50. If I use the bundle code It's like $98. So is there any way to get the 3 for 2 deal on this? Or should I just buy the book and see if the PDF's I want are just randomly available on usenet somewhere? Now way I'm gonna pay 2X the price when the total add-on price of the PDF's normally are only about $10.

Same issue... I can't buy bundles & get the 3 for 2 discount because the bundles count as a discount code. Normally the bundles would cost me only $10 more on my total order but if I use OPC10 it ends up costing me $50 more then just the books alone.
