iPhone upgrade lost all my creaturesI upgraded to a new iPhone and my creatures were lost. I dont see any way to do a password recovery. I'd not linked with Facebook or epicpetwars.com. Where'd they all go?
chrisweiss reported a problem in ZED9 on June 10, 2009 17:50:
Form data erased if there are submit errors. If I fill out the workout information form and fail to select a file to upload and click the Save button, my form data is erased.
chrisweiss shared an idea in ZED9 on June 10, 2009 17:45:
Needs "Enable Javascript" messagesSince there are critical areas that cannot be passed without Javascript enabled (such as Saving a workout), it'd sure be nice if there were a little pop-up saying "For best results, please enable Javascript) or something similar.

Just wondering if this had been fixed? It looks like 1.7.9 is still the latest version and we ran into this issue again (redoing the developer's image again). These are the two files that are called at login. Removing the echo statements makes things work properly.

We're connecting to a Fedora Core 7 SFTP server with SFTPDrive, and our SVN lives on a different FC7 install. – chrisweiss, on December 15, 2008 17:56

Okay, totally the wrong tree - but we did expose an issue with SftpDrive. Turns out the new machine had an echo statement in .cshrc, so it'd spit out text as soon as you logged in. This confuses SftpDrive something fierce and it locked up.
FWIW, we discovered this is a common problem - Filezilla throws an "Out of memory error", which helped track down the source of the issue.

Mismatching host keys crashes SftpDrive? We recently recreated one of our servers previously BSD, now Fedora. The IP and logins are all the same, but the host keys have changed. Now, when trying to connect SftpDrive, it just locks up during the connection process. I'm assuming it's due to invalid host keys, but there's no information. Where are the keys stored for SftpDrive and how would I go about deleting an entry? We tried deleting and re-creating the login account, but that didn't help.
A comment on the problem "My Macbook sometimes doesn't wake up from sleep mode after I open it" in Apple:
I've seen exactly this problem on both my Macbooks (2007 black & 2008 white (non-aluminum) in both Tiger and Leopard. I'll close the lid and put the laptop down for the night, then when I come back to it, the Macbook is warm and the power light is on solid, like it never went to sleep. Opening the lid turns the light off and the Macbook appears dead. Closing the lid turns the light back on solidly. I tend to sleep them daily and this happens maybe once every few weeks. They're wireless and have no peripherals plugged in and are always on the charger. I've tried a number of things to wake them up but always end up having to just power cycle them. I've re-installed the OS on both of them and keep them updated constantly. They do both have nearly identical applications installed (which I tend to load right after reinstalling the OS), so it could be a software conflict. – chrisweiss, on October 27, 2008 17:53

A comment on the question "Anonymous posts?" in Get Satisfaction:
I would like the ability to post anonymously per-company. There might be companies that I'm interacting with that I would prefer that interaction not be indexable under my name by search engines, etc. I realize that opens a lot of doors for abuse, but I think your moderation system is strong enough to defend against that. – chrisweiss, on October 10, 2008 06:47-

iPhone syncs with strange iTunes without confirmation (wiping data)When I plug my iphone into another iTunes PC, it wants to sync with the new iTunes and ends up wiping all my apps out (it doesn't sync user data as I've got MobileMe doing push). Shouldn't it be presenting some kind of "Are do you want to sync your iPhone with this library" confirmation, like when I plug an iPod into a new iTunes?

FWIW: I'm not sure where you guys picked it up, but in my circle, "my/our bad" is usually associated with someone not actually caring that they've done wrong (IE - Lindsay Lohan rear-ending you then continuing on to get her double venti latte). Might I suggest future missives use a more undeniably sincere phrasing? – chrisweiss, on July 16, 2008 20:56
