I found that this problem only happens when I right click > add to device > ipod. But, if I take a selection and drag it from the library to the ipod library icon in the left bar, the track order is correctly transferred.

And to answer your question Don: yeah the tags are all right. I'm sort of OCD about organizing my music. That's why this problem bothered me so much in the first place.

Now if we could just get album artwork on the ipod, SB would be perfect.

The song order of my albums on my ipod

I have a 2nd gen nano and I have no problem transferring the albums I have to it. But, when I listen to the album on my ipod, the song order is not in the original track listing order. The songs are in alphabetical order. However, when I browse my ipod in songbird, the track order is fine. Songbird is great but I need it to transfer my albums to my ipod with the correct track order. Any fixes? let me know. Thanks.
