Hi Noel,
I had a similar problem when I tried dragging a file attachment from an email I had received directly into the drop page in my Firefox browser. However, when I dragged the same file from the File Explorer, the Firefox extension worked correctly, and added the file to the drop.
Perhaps this is an issue with where the file is coming from?
Best,
cimm.

Problem with my account credentialsThere is a problem with my Get Satisfaction account. I am registered with my primary email address, and it has been verified. However, when I try logging in, my credentials are rejected, and when I enter my email address in the forgotten password box, the response is that the email address is not registered. The only way I am able to login again, is to retrieve my welcome email and click on email validation link. And once logged in, it doesn't accept my old password for a password change. Help!

cimm asked a question in drop.io on November 06, 2008 17:11:
Maintain an asset's original nameWhy does dropio not maintain the original filename of assets when they are uploaded instead of stripping out caps and spaces? Each asset already appears to have two names within a drop - a file name and a descriptive name. It would be nice if the descriptive name could maintain original spaces and letter-casing, even if the filename is simplified.

Asset versioning inside a drop.It would be great to have versioning of drop assets. Such a feature would allow users to upload a new version of an existing asset. Two levels of versioning could be available: one would maintain older versions of the file in the drop and make them available through a version history; the other would simply maintain a history log of a assets versions, but only store the most recent file. Versioning could also preserve comments made about an asset and propagate comments forward as new versions are uploaded.

Organise items in a drop using tagsAllow individual items in a drop to be tagged or labeled. I would really like to be able to organise items in a drop by tagging them. This would present a cleaner solution than your folder hack. Also, it would be nice to be able to associate permissions with a tag, so that some taged itms are read only, while others can be commented and deleted.

Email to a drop is not workingMy drops do not appear to accept emailed notes or attachments. I am sending via my gmail account. Do I need to enable something special to make this work?

I found the retry link - it only appears in blog view. Woulld be nice if it were consistently available in all views, but glad to have found it – cimm, on November 06, 2008 13:37

Peter,
The only option available in RSS Settings is a checkbox: "Include files directly in RSS feeds (less security)" and the possibility of resetting the RSS feed. How do you add more info to the RSS feed? This would actually also be useful for drops that I don't control. For example, the drop.io blog, whose feed is not at all informative.
Best,
cimm.
