A comment on the question "Trouble accessing Podiobooks.com? Let us know!" in Podiobooks.com:
Nothing has changed on our end which would affect your router. What DNS servers are configured in your router?
If you put podiobooks.com in your hosts file, you still can't access the site from behind the router? – Clair High, on August 02, 2009 23:36

Can you perform a ping or traceroute? Is your IP address contained within the list below? If not, would you mind emailing me your IP address so we might be able to further troubleshoot: clair at podiobooks dot com.

Clair High replied on June 08, 2009 02:26 to the question "Emailed pictures are continually failing." in Ping.fm:
I'll have them post to one service, but not another. E.g. It posted to my facebook account, but didn't post to flickr. Then, it posts a link to the photo on ping.fm on facebook/twitter/etc, but the link fails to show the photo. I was trying to use ping.fm while on the road for a week to keep my friends and family updated, but was sadly disappointed that it constantly failed.-

Support for the Motorola VU30?I have the Motorola VU30 on Verizon. Will you be adding support for this phone?
Clair High replied on May 26, 2009 14:50 to the problem "Cannot load login page" in Ping.fm:
Clair High reported a problem in Ping.fm on May 26, 2009 13:54:
Cannot load login pageI am able to pull up the front page, but when I go to login, the page never loads. I've given it 3-4 minutes, closed/reopened my broswer, and tried again with the same results. I am behind a (squid) proxy server, but it's never caused an issue before. The only way I can test connecting directly without the proxy at the moment is to use a command line browser, eg. lynx (from the proxy server itself). No gui on it, so I can't test a graphical browser). When trying to load "http://ping.fm/login/", Lynx stalls on "Making HTTPS connection to ping.fm"
My machine: CentOS 5.3
Browser: Firefox 3.0.10
The proxy server: CentOS 4.7
Squid proxy: Version 2.5.STABLE14
Not that this has anything to do with the login page itself, but I pinged the 69.44.44.77 address.
100 packets transmitted, 97 received, 3% packet loss, time 99103ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 45.427/310.947/1059.028/292.366 ms, pipe 3
Now, after trying some other things, it's been 6-8 minutes and the login page has not loaded.
Clair High replied on April 13, 2009 02:25 to the question "Download times out, so does web site, for several days" in Podiobooks.com:
Your IP address was blocked proactively by the firewall because of 4
temporary blocks over a 24 hour period. I don't know specifically what
caused the temporary blocks because the emails alerting to those
blocks have long since been deleted -- we get so many of these because
of port scanning script kiddies. The "permanent" block took place on
Jan 29.
Typically these blocks are due to either what the firewall considers
port scans (hitting one or more closed ports multiple times over a one
minute span -- typically 10+ hits over a handful of seconds), or
multiple login failures to other services which may be open on the
box, POP, IMAP, SSH, etc. Some trojans will cause it to trigger
because they're trying to access SMTP. Like I said, unfortunately, I
do not have the emails alerting the blocks since they were 2+ months
ago.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
