Twitter only allows a very small set of characters in their names, so there are some problems with usernames with spaces (and other characters) in them that we need to iron out. My apologies for the mis-delivered messages in the mean time.

If it's giving you the error "login failed" or something similar, don't worry -- that's a temporary problem on our end. You *are* logged in, the error is being sent by mistake. If you exit the twitter screen and go back, you should see that you're logged in to the account.

Right now there isn't. Since I'm guessing it's a pretty new account without a lot of investment in it, I'd suggest deleting the account and starting afresh.

Follow the "Help" button in the Twinkle Identity pane for instructions on deleting your account.

To clarify to beta testers: drag BOTH the Tap Tap app bundle AND the AdHoc.mobileprovision into the "Applications" screen of iTunes, then sync your phone.

If you have problems, my first suggestion would be to delete Tap Tap from your phone and from the Applications section of iTunes, then sync, then drag the two files into iTunes, then sync again.

Strictly speaking, anybody who isn't in the beta crew won't be able to install this on their devices because their device IDs aren't authorized -- this is all part of the elaborate system Apple has put in place for provisioning phones for beta testing.

From what I've heard, even on Windows, just drag it into the "Applications" area of iTunes.

Right now Twinkle only gets the last twenty messages from Twitter (this is the maximum Twitter allows us to have when we refresh), so the large gap between 12 hours and 3 hours is because we literally can't grab the in-between hours :(

"Broadcast Location" refers to sending your location with your updates -- so your updates appear in Nearby. Twinkle still requests your location every time you refresh because it's getting other people's updates from nearby.

There's a server issue right now that makes it *say* Login Failed, but as far as my testing goes it *does* log you in successfully.

If you leave the Twitter login page and go back, it should show you being logged into the correct account.

I just reproduced this error, but notably it *does* log you in, even though it says "login error", so if you leave that screen and go back in, you'll see your Twitter details.
