Whether Twinkle displays Miles and Kilometres is actually decided by your phone; Twinkle asks the phone which it prefers, and then displays the appropriate unit of measure.

To change your locale, from your phone's springboard go to Settings → General → International → Region Format.

Indeed. The old adage "once it's on the net, it can't be deleted" applies here. You can delete the source, but there are caches all over the world.

Twitter doesn't send us a notification of which tweets were deleted, so it stays in your phone's cache until it's replaced by newer tweets.

This is a known bug in 1.1 that we're fixing in a future version of TTR. Sorry, but it seems like the only known workaround for now is to not edit your profile! :(

Is this on a song that came with TTR, or a song you downloaded through the "Download New Songs" section?

TTR 1.1 has a bug in it that means that downloaded songs can sometimes get corrupted and not play. This bug is being fixed for a later version of TTR.

A comment on the problem "TwinkleShots: Accents/foreign character support" in Tapulous:

Yeah, the characters end up looking fine in Twinkle, in Twitterrific, and on Twitter itself, but the TwinkleShots site has some problems with them that we're working to fix. – Chris Clark, on July 29, 2008 19:08

I'd really hope that restoring your iPod (or even just reinstalling TTR) should fix the problem. These freezing problems seem to be transient and we have a lot of trouble reproducing them on our test devices :(

Oops! Yeah, sorry, I'm testing our internal build. Like you said, if you click the Twitter button (the large white area of the button, not the On/Off switch) it'll take you through to the screen where you can enter a different Twitter username and password. – Chris Clark, on July 29, 2008 17:45

My apologies -- we're working on some guidelines for appropriate conduct in the Twinkle community; right now there are some people behaving inappropriately or (sometimes) downright offensively. We're also working to add Blocking and Banning into Twinkle, so a few rotten apples don't spoil the fun for everyone.

Dang, I don't have a copy of Tiger around to test it with. I'm using Safari 3 and Firefox 3 on Leopard and also on Windows XP.

There's nothing particularly special about the voting page, but I can think of one change that might make a difference... try it now.

I can't reproduce this problem in Safari 3 or Firefox 3. Are you sure you're not having a problem with your internet connection? We've recorded over eighty thousand votes so far!
