I am having the same problem. I have over 6,000 songs and 4,000+ of them won't play on the Ipod. If this problem isn't going to be solved soon, I will have to switch back to ITunes (even though I completely hate ITunes).

I hope this gets resolved soon. I can't play some of my songs that I bought on iTunes before I switched to Songbird. I need to play them because I'm obsessed with the songs.

I'm still having this problem. I bought some MP3's on ITunes and they're not supported on songbird... it says "The stream is encrypted and decryption is not supported." I need decryption to be supported, because I need to listen to these tunes..... From Spinnerette ... who knows how long it will be before Brody's new band comes out with a CD.... I don't think I can wait that long.

Awesome support!

I'm really enjoying the features, I know the little bugs will get worked out, because there is actual humans that help run the system. I like being able to support more of an independent organization instead of Microsoft or Apple.

After installing quicktime and the quicktime add-on through songbird, it still doesn't help me.

I installed Quicktime, After I installed Quicktime the songs were able to play just fine. To install Quicktime go to: http://www.apple.com/quicktime
I rebooted my computer after installation with Quicktime was complete and the song play! Know I am happy!

I uninstalled Itunes and Quicktime before I installed Songbird for the first time. If you reinstall just quicktime, the songs will play (may need a computer reboot after installation). I think it is something related to the album artwork not being able to show without Quicktime... and the song won't play altogether.

About 75% of my songs won't work because of this. Having major problems with Itunes, so I wanted to give this software a try, but it's not working right either. Sadly, I will probably have to find another program if this isn't resolved.
