CN replied on November 05, 2009 15:24 to the problem "Cannot sign in to LinkedIn with Firefox/IE" in LinkedIn:
A person wrote this about an hour ago:
I was experiencing kind of the same problem under XP, using Firefox or IE, on wireless or cable connection.
I've tried a lot of things, but the thing that helped was this:
to change the MTU network setting from 1500 to 1200.
Don't ask me why but it worked directly. An easy way of doing this, is by using a small tool called DrTCP, you can get it here: http://www.dslreports.com/drtcp
Then in the tool, select the network connection(s) you're using, and change or set the MTU to 1200. Restart your network connection (disable/enable) or totally restart your pc and now try to login and load the Linkedin website....
I'm very happy and thankfull for this guy because hios solution resolved the problem for me too (I was unable to access linkedin for about 8 months).
Hope it works for you too
