Same problem. Everything says I've unfollowed this guy, yet his tweets still keep appearing on my homepage. I've tried blocking, typing "off twitterhandle". Nothing.

Turn off Notifications for Alternate Accounts

I have several accounts. I like having them in my sidebar, but I don't want my notifier lighting up every time there is an update to one of them. Either an option to select notifications by account, or an option to only receive notifications for the account we're currently viewing would be nice.

I had this problem too. Try closing & reloading Tweetie for Mac. That solved it for me.
