A comment on the problem "Songbird restores its-self when going to the next track in windows 7" in Songbird:
i'll post a bug there when i get some proper time to sit down and write it out properly.
When is 1.4 due out? I saw it in the nightly builds, but though if it is due out quite soon then there's no point getting it if the big bad release is coming :D – Codex, on August 24, 2009 02:02

Syncing songs to iPod strips and changes various tag informationWhen syncing songs to my ipod, i noticed today that over half have had the year changed to zero
I don't know why or how the information has changed, on my original pc it's all correct.
So somewhere along the line the ipod plugin strips and changes that tag info, and who knows what other information gets changed
I'm eagerly awaiting the new version of songbird and the new version of the ipod plugin hoping it fixes all the double ups, ipod crashing and other bugs :D

How presumptuous of you :P My copy is legit, directly from msdn, and a full licence not a trial licence. I downloaded mine directly from msdn, I got my key directly from msdn, I wouldn't ever pirate an OS purely because it's the main thing anyone uses for their pc, why pirate something you use every second of every minute you're on that pc when if you worked out the cost to you per hour or even per year is less then a dollar per day and only paid once :D
I tried deleting my profile, i did a complete uninstall of songbird including all of its leftover data.
Do you want me to add this to bugzilla? – Codex, on August 23, 2009 20:31

Songbird restores its-self when going to the next track in windows 7After installing a fresh install of songbird (multiple times) on window 7's rtm whenever songbird goes to the next song it restores its self from being minimized and takes focus, very very annoying, and happens with a friend of mine with the rtm also :/

Give wmp the bird, with folder.jpgWell despite the ipod plug-in hiccups, im slowly going through my library and fixing everything from scratch, including adding folder.jpg toeach folder seeing as WMP destroys your lovely high res art work with disgusting 200x200 failures
The feature I would love to see would be this: Songbird would automatically extract the album artwork from your music, and save it as folder.jpg in its respective folder while deleting and removing the poo files wmp leaves there (all of the hidden ones).
It could be an automatic feature that happens as you add music, or a button ready for the slaughtering
Either way I would absolutely love a feature like this
<3 songbird :D

maybe it would be an idea to create a feature that backs up all of your library and settings (not the actual song files obviously) into one handy file and a feature to import said files? – Codex, on June 16, 2009 20:44

Moving settings to a new install = no artworkWell the other week i upgraded to windows 7, and had backed up all of my songbird data from the users folder
Installed songbird, restored my settings, that wall went well except everything in my library had been completely stripped of artwork. Now i sucked it up and thought i must have done something wrong, but a friend of mine did exactly the same thing and got exactly the same result :/
why did this happen and how can i prevent it in the future?

Saving Library PositionIf you're looknig through your library, then say, delete a song, switch between two playlists, or something similar, when you try to return to the original playlist or library the position takes you back to the very top, which can get very annoying
My request is that can songbird please save your position in the library in future?-

The issue is still present in the latest public release along with the very frustrating ipod track duplication issue that we can't vote on (effectively making it pointless on there), on bugzilla – Codex, on May 21, 2009 20:15
