Cole Stryker asked a question in Microsoft Corporation on December 03, 2007 11:53:
How can I play Xbox 360 on my laptop monitor? My multimedia laptop has video-in, and I'd like to try out an Xbox 360 on its monitor.
Can I just plug it in and start playing?
Are there compatibility issues I should think about?
What about resolution? Will it look like crap?
Any other issues?-

After checking out a few forums, I can confirm that the Wii version does not look any better than the Gamecube version. However, the Wii supports 16:9 aspect ratio, the Gamecube does not.
I forgot to mention this earlier: The Wii and Gamecube visuals are mirror images of each other, even down to the hand in which Link holds his sword (He's a righty on the Wii, a southpaw on the Gamecube).
My theory: There are far more righty's in the world, so swinging the sword feels better when your avatar is also right-handed.

Thor,
Having played several iterations of Harvest Moon, I have to say I'm psyched about this one. One thing that always bogged the series down was that actions were performed by pressing a button. I hope to see clever uses of the Wii Remote to bring this activity to life.
In past games, you can eat the eggs your chickens produce, but no slaughtering is done. Cows exist for milk alone. Even the bar in town only serves milk (In Japan they had beer).
Animals can die, however, if you don't take care of them. I imagine this could be a powerful lesson for your kid and perhaps a way to find out if he's ready for a real pet. Your dog howls if you leave him out at night, chickens won't lay eggs if you don't pamper them, etc.
It's a great time-management simulation. You have to balance having fun in and around town, spending time with your family, and caring for your animals and crops. If you stay out too late at night, you end up sleeping in the next day and get tired easily while farming, so the game encourages consistent productivity.

Cole Stryker replied on December 01, 2007 14:46 to the discussion "Gamecube Zelda vs. Wii Zelda" in Nintendo:
There are 3 main differences:
1. Motion control (Wii Only)
2. Widescreen support (Wii Only)
3. Free Camera using C-stick (Cube Only)
I haven't played the GC version, but having played through the Wii version, I can say that the Wii Remote functionality has little to no bearing on the game. Like many first generation Wii titles, motion controls seem to have been thrown in at the last minute.
So, if you can get a cheap copy of Twilight Princess for the Cube, go for it, you won't miss out on anything spectacular.

Can I use a British Wii Remote on an American Wii?I'm an American living in England. I brought my Wii with me and I'd like to get a new controller. Should I import one from the US via eBay or could I just grab one at a store here in the UK?

Nope, they probably don't want to cannibalize sales of Bust-a-Move Bash!

Guess you'll have to just play some Snood instead.

You're definitely not the only one. Every Xbox owner I know has experienced similar problems.
I think you hit on a crucial point when you said that it's not Microsoft's initial failing, but their inability to make things right.
It might not be time to make the switch to a different console, but if you do, Nintendo's customer service does not disappoint!

This is silly. The Wii is the most energy-efficient of the big three consoles by far (uses 10x less power). This should count for something. All that wattage adds up!
