Unfortunately you guys are not the only ones that are experiencing this issue. We are looking into it right now and will keep you guys updated as we learn more. Sporadic network / bandwidth issues are not the easiest thing in the world to track down so please bear with us while we figure this out.
Right now we are looking into our ISP and trying to determine if the issues are up network from us or if it is an issue with one of our streaming server.
If you guys could, the next time you have issues try the following and post the results back to this thread. The results will help us figure out where the issues is so we can resolve it quickly and get you back to playing music :)
- What time did you have the problem ?
- Try moving to another song quickly, do you have the same issue ?
-- If so, try reloading Grooveshark. Do you still have the issue ?
- Try downloading http://grooveshark.com/songA.mp3 . How fast does it download (kpbs, seconds) ?
- Try downloading http://beta.grooveshark.com:8080/song... . How fast does it download (kpbs, seconds) ?
- Try downloading http://is.gd/hsvn. How fast does it download (kpbs, seconds) ?

Colin Hostert shared an idea in boxee on December 27, 2008 02:53:
Iphone / android / bberry remote control applicationIt would be very cool to create a remote control app for controlling boxee functionality when it is hooked up to a tv. This application would hopefully replace the need to use a keyboard or remote. Think the remote application that Apple released.
Charging for this would be reasonable (obviously not required however) and an interesting rev stream ($3 -$5 maybe).-
Colin Hostert started following the idea "BBC iPlayer support" in boxee.
