A comment on the question "Why is my power adapter recognised but not charging?" in Dell:
Have tried all these, nothing works. Replaced battery, worked 1 time then dead, nothing. Heard it is a problem between the ac jack and Mother board. Can u help? – colleenb52, on November 08, 2009 14:50-

I have the same problem. Dell 1521. Approx 2 yrs old. Bought new battery. Still will not charge. Charged 1 time then nothing. Shows plugged in at all times. Have read some comments on other boards that say there is a problem between the mother board and the ac jack. Does anyone know how to fix this?
