Collin started following the idea "BumpTop for Linux" in BumpTop.
Collin shared an idea in BumpTop on May 03, 2009 04:39:
Linux+Compiz+BumpTop=AWESOME!!!MAKE A LINUX VERSION!!!!!
Linux is a perfect environment for BumpTop. Linux already has such really cool abilities like Compiz Fusion and Enlightenment E17 Desktop Environment--BumpTop would fit right in (especially on a distro like Elive!). You really need to release a Linux version soon!!!! Elive+Compiz+BumpTop would ttly rock!
So I made my point...now for what I really think is important: BumpTop already has shown its absolutely amazing potential on Windows. But on Linux, it would actually be better placed for several reasons: Linux represents the future. Why? Well, Linux offers people with an extremely beautiful (see picture) interface that is open source, extensible, and works with almost any hardware--even touch screens! Some distros, like Elive (see pic again) would work especially well with BumpTop because of it's already amazing GUI. BumpTop would add the option for a NUI (Natural User Interface) to this as well. It would really be awesome! Keep up the good work!
