Thanks. I don't have any firewalls running on any machine inside the network. It started working a little bit ago though. I didn't change any settings or anything, but its working now on both machines. I wonder if something was down in the network I didn't catch. Anyway thanks for the help and its nice to have a way to remote control my music since its mostly on Linux.

I installed all the latest editions this morning from the website. I clicked the "i" and its not showing and "Songbirds." What port is it trying to connect through, although it shouldn't be an issue as they are in the same network/router. It does the same for either the windows or Linux versions though.
