ComcastCares replied on October 05, 2009 02:48 to the question "my-diary.org website doesnt work" in Comcast:
I have never seen that message in a traceroute before. I did a quick google search and found 2 possibilities. The first is your firewall, but that would not be consistent for the different drop points. The others mentioned wireless. If you are connected wireless to a router, it recommended connecting wired to it instead. I would test that way. I would also recommend connecting direct to the modem and trying that to see if there is a difference. When you connected the computer to the modem, reboot the modem so you pull an IP address.

First try to empty cache in browser. If does not work reboot your router. If still not working post a traceroute to the website here or email us.

A comment on the question "How do I delete channels from the On Screen Guide?" in Comcast:
BTW Drewmie I have seen that too, but I have noticed the change among all providers not allowing channels to be removed. Every box I have seen in recent years from all providers allows for favorites. My guess is it has to do with tv programmers wanting their station to be seen. – ComcastCares, on September 05, 2009 13:29

ComcastCares replied on September 03, 2009 17:28 to the problem "Why does my computer say that it's connected to the internet when I can't actually access the internet?!?" in Comcast:
We would need to review the status of the modem, but it sounds like the modem was connected to the internet (based on guidance from the phone representative - that should have been the first thing checked) and the potential problem could be the router. Have you tried to direct connect to the modem? When doing so I also recommend, once they are connected to reboot the modem and the computer to ensure you are provided an IP address. We would be happy to work with you to resolve. Please email us at the address below with a link to this page, phone number on the account, and a good contact number.

That is an expiration of a promotional offer, not a price increase. We would be happy to look into the specifics for you. Email us at the address below.

ComcastCares replied on August 24, 2009 04:51 to the problem "Comcast appears to be blocking certain sites. IP or DNS issue?" in Comcast:
By the way, if NTT is the hosting provider, then the trouble would be more on the Twitter side. It could be a blocked IP or other trouble. We have not seen other troubles with Twitter today. I just reviewed my traceroute, and many of the hops look the same but I have not had trouble getting to Twitter.com at all, even while the traceroute was running
ComcastCares replied on August 24, 2009 04:49 to the problem "Comcast appears to be blocking certain sites. IP or DNS issue?" in Comcast:
This is not the complete traceroute. In order to properly evaluate we would need that, as well as information from the account. Please email the phone number on the account and the full traceroute and we will review the specifics of what we are noticing. Additional information such as other website sthat you are having trouble with can also assist.
Thank you!

Twitter is loading fine for me and others. First I would reboot router, I would also do a traceroute to see where the block is. Email us a copy of the traceroute and include phone number on the account.

ComcastCares replied on July 23, 2009 02:17 to the question "mail server cannot connect to comast email addresses" in Comcast:
The server should have the error code, but it is possible it is blocked due to spam. I would have the server administrator review the following URL: http://postmaster.comcast.net
They can also submit to have the blocked removed under RBL Removal

ComcastCares replied on July 21, 2009 03:57 to the question "Why can Comcast restrict speeds on certain types of downloads?" in Comcast:
This could easily be related to the upload speed of the server you are connecting to. We take a protocol agnostic approach to network management which is outlined in the link above. Also network management is not a constant and only impact for minutes when node is overloaded. I am confident that you will find this is most likely the server you are accessing. Many torrents are also peer driven, which means they may have an upload of 1 mb or close to it.

ComcastCares replied on July 20, 2009 02:09 to the question "Why can Comcast restrict speeds on certain types of downloads?" in Comcast:
That is not the way network management works. In fact we detail it at the following URL: http://www.comcast.net/terms/network/
This type of issue can be the server on the other end, problems on our end with signals to the home, modem, router, computer, or many servers on the path. We would be happy to help troubleshoot this with you. Email us at the address below.

At this time static IPs are only available for business accounts. Is there a reason you are not interested in a business account? What is the purpose of needing a static IP, there may be alternatives.
Thanks,
