Please place a support ticket at:
http://support.intellispire.com/index...
Make sure you fill in all fields, including PHP version and OS type. Please copy and paste the information from the "diagnostics" tab of the Installer into the support ticket.
It sounds like you have a permissions / file ownership problem, and the system cannot download the package to install it (or it can't open it once it's downloaded).
We can't be more specific without getting more specific details about your setup, and this forum is not the appropriate place to do so.
Please do open that support ticket.
Thanks!

Nick Temple replied on January 30, 2009 02:57 to the question "Joomla Updater Licence" in Intellispire:
Hi Jacob,
Don't be confused ... no, the code is not encoded, so there are no special requirements other than a recent version of PHP5, J!1.5 and appropriate permissions or file ownership (most isp's handle this for you automagically).
Introductory pro licensing is one time - purchase one license, and use it on all your servers (not your clients or your friends, but yours).
The pricing mode is changing in the near future, as we approach 5,000 websites using the software the introductory pricing will cease and be replaced by a more sustainable business mode (monthly or annually tiered pricing).

Nick Temple replied on November 11, 2008 04:35 to the question "How does extension updating work" in Intellispire:
When a new extension becomes available, we package it up and make it available to the system. When you login, you will then see "Update Available" next to the new extension, and you manually click the install button to make it happen.
Right now, based on user feedback, we're working on v2.0 which has some additional features: notifying you via SMS or email when an update is available, possibly optional "automatic" updates and patch management, as well as some new security features like signed packages.
I agree that the website needs to be updated, we'll do that as 2.0 comes closer to release.
If you need more info, please contact me directly using the either the support desk or the "contact us" form on the website.

Nick Temple replied on November 08, 2008 14:58 to the question "Why is it not showing on my website? I have enabled it." in Intellispire:
Hi Linda,
The Aweber Plugin is a Plugin, not a module. That means you won't "see" anything on your website. However, when someone sign up at your Joomla! powered website using the normal Joomal! registration process, the registration information will *also* be sent to aweber.
Remember you have to configure Aweber in addition to setting up the plugin:
http://www.intellispire.com/web/page/...
If you need further support or an alternative solution (possibly module based, where people "see" a newsletter signup form), please place a support ticket:
http://support.intellispire.com/
I'm on the road this weekend and may not be able to respond before Monday, but we will help you to get this worked out.
Thanks,
Nick
Nick Temple replied on November 08, 2008 04:24 to the question "Help what plug in to purchase?" in Intellispire:
The standard J! 1.5 plug will work for your site ... the CB version is needed only if you are running an older version of Joomla or Mambo.

Nick Temple replied on October 28, 2008 02:31 to the question "Can Pro Version be used on multiple client websites?" in Intellispire:
We ask that you purchase a pro license for each of your customers. The best way to do this is to pass the fee on directly to the customer. To help, we have an affiliate system (where you can get a referral fee for each sale).
A reseller system is in progress, and bulk discounts are available - please contact me directly at http://support.intellispire.com/ so we can discuss your specific situation.

Nick Temple replied on October 03, 2008 00:19 to the question "Breezing Forms Error" in Intellispire:
It looks like you already have a version of facileforms or breezing forms installed. You'll need to first uninstall any other versions of either facileforms or breezingforms you have installed: including all modules, bots and plugins.
Then the Installer should be able to install the current version for you.
Nick Temple replied on October 03, 2008 00:14 to the question "Integrate GetResponse with E-junkie Shopping Cart" in Intellispire:
Hi --
We have some code to take variables and pass them on to GetResponse ... depending on how much customization you'd like, creating a script to handle that should be pretty straightforward.
Please provide full details in our support system:
http://support.intellispire.com/
And we'll figure out a way to make this work for you.

Nick Temple replied on September 09, 2008 14:45 to the question "What is the future of your product in regards to developers / designers?" in Intellispire:
Hi Skye,
1) Right now, we're technically connecting network id numbers to individual email addresses, so each email has to be unique.
2) Yes, we are in the process of developing the affiliates program right now. Contact support for details and "pre-release" access.
3) We're developing the profile system (I just started coding the framework) - I'd really like to get your input / feed back on how that would work best for you.
I'm looking to follow a model similar to the way Adwords works: each client has their own account (Network Id) but they can provide webmasters / developers management access to their account.
Please do contact me privately through support or the contact form on the site so we can discuss further.
Thanks for asking!

Nick Temple replied on September 05, 2008 19:01 to the question "Where do the Joomla core packages you use in Professional come from?" in Intellispire:
Our servers at the moment - which is actually Amazon S3.
Right now these are the full package with the installation directory stripped out, which gurantees we get all files (the patch packages leave out certain files depending on the version of joomla you are currently running).
I'd love to see an official "universal Joomla 1.5" upgrade released by the core team, but so far that's not been happening.
We're looking at doing something different like using the patch files directly from joomlacode, but right now their are various technical issues that need to be solved, first.
The latest version of the updater allows you to download a package to inspect it before installing (click on the "parameters" button to enable that option).
We're also adding md5 checksums to all packages and will start supporting signed manifests as well - that's still a couple of weeks away, and will find a way to use "official" releases when that is enabled.
I share your concerns about security ... it's just taking time and resources to get everything in place.
Nick Temple replied on September 03, 2008 06:11 to the question "Aweber plugin not working for me." in Intellispire:
Please see support ticket. We need to walk through:
1) setting up the plugin
2) making sure your server is sending mail
3) setting up the Email Parser at aweber
4) Verifying everything is working
There are many moving pieces here, any one even slightly off can cause registrations not to be processed by Aweber.

Nick Temple replied on August 31, 2008 04:39 to the problem "need help finding the download page" in Intellispire:
Official "solution": The download page for the Updater component is:
http://www.intellispire.com/web/Jooml...
Because the Updater requires an Internet connection to work, and it also requires core Joomla! support, unless you are able to follow the instructions on that page, the component may not work for you.
It DOES work for the vast majority of people and in the vast majority of situations, however.

Did you receive a response to the ticket? I'm not seeing it in the system ... its' probably our fault, I blew it up causing an endless loop and may have lost data (I didn't think so, though) ....
In any case this is a little more complicated than it should be. I need to take about a few more hours to work this through, and will release a test update later this evening or tomorrow afternoon.
Hold tight, we'll get it working.
