Hmm, that means that something went wrong during installation. Try deleting the Wuala application and the WualaSharedData folder. Then re-download the dmg and install the app again.

do you have a folder named "WualaSharedData" inside "/Users/Shared"?
Do you usually login using a user with administrator privileges or one without?

JollyRoger, I have Wuala running on my G5 with 10.5.2 (I am actually developing the Mac-specific features on that machine).

Could you launch wuala through the terminal by using the following command:

exec java -ea -cp /Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/Program/WualaStarter.jar:/Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/Program/swt.jar:/System/Library/Java/ -Djava.library.path="/Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/Program" -Xmx256M -XstartOnFirstThread -Djava.awt.headless=true -Dwuala.basedir=/Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/ com.wuala.platform.WualaStarterMac -project WualaMAC Kolumbus

And paste the output here?

We are doing our best to fix these issues as soon as possible.

The following aspects might be helpful for us to solve this issue:
- Did Wuala work on this machine before or is this a new installation?
- If Wuala worked before, did you do any other updates bsides the automatic Wuala updates, which might have broken Wuala
- Which version of Java do you have and what kind of processor is in your computer?

We are not yet able to replicate this problem with Mac OS X 10.5, neither with the older version of Java, nor with the newest update from Apple.

We are really sorry for the inconvenience and hope to fix this as soon as possible.

What Java version are you using? 64-bit does not work as SWT is based on carbon still.

I also have this problem. I'm trying to run it from an admin account. I have a MBP running 10.5.2. Wuala will try to run for about a minute or two and then claim it needs to quit. I've submitted crash reports when prompted.

@bagelcat: that Meta directory is empty for me...

delete the files PendingTransactions* in the folder /Users/SharedData/WualaSharedData/Data/Meta/

Ja, dieser Fehler hat mit dem Problem zu tun. Diese Klasse startet Wuala auf dem Mac und ist daher essentiell ;) Vermutlich hat das Update nicht geklappt (bist du in einem Firmennetzwerk, hinter einem Proxy?). Downloade Wuala am besten nochmals (http://download.wua.la/de/mac_dl.html) und installiere es neu.

Danke. Wir haben den Bug identifiziert und gefixt. Bei der Entscheidung, ob der Download im Arbeitsspeicher zwischengespeichert werden kann, gab es einen Overflow, der dazu fü dass eben der Disk-Cache nicht verwendet wurde. Müin der nästen Version also behoben sein. Ein manuelles eingreifen ins Speichermanagement der VM ist damit nicht mehr nö :)

Ich nehme an, das hat mit dem Problem zu tun.
Selbst kann ich damit jedoch nichts anfangen. :-(

an java liegts auf jeden Fall nicht mehr. Ein Schritt wä sicherlich nochmal, alle wuala-Dateien runter zu schmeissen (auch die im Ordner /Benutzer/Shared/ )und frisch zu installieren. Das ist bei Problemen immer einen Versuch wert, so ne Reinstallation.

Als letztes bleibt dann nur noch in den logfiles zu schauen, was das syslog dazu sagt (Dienstprogramme/Konsole)

Ich arbeite mit einem Administrator Account. Allerdings ist bei allen Installationen etc. das Administrator Passwort erneut einzugeben. Einen Root-Account gibt es auf Macs standardmäg ja sowieso nicht... Auch bei einem neu angelegten Testaccount besteht das gleiche Problem. Gibt es nicht eine Möchkeit, ein Logfile einzusehen, damit das Problem när einzugrenzen ist?

Das update dass ich verlinkte bringt java 1.4 und java 1.5 auf die aktuellste von apple unterstüVersion. Bei den andern mit 10.4.11 die ich kenne hat das gereicht.

Es köe sein, dass Du java 1.5 noch gar nicht auf dem System hast (wird normalerweise automatisch installiert, aber vielleicht hattest Du das irgendwann man weggeklickt).
Geh mal ins Terminal und schreibe
java -version
kommt da etwas mit 1.4 .. als Antwort, dann installiere:
http://www.apple.com/support/download... (ppc)
http://www.apple.com/support/download... (intel)

dann nochmal das update dründ wenns dann nicht geht, dann ist mein Latein zu Ende.

Benutzt du einen eingeschraenkten Account? In dem Zusammenhang habe ich neulich noch ein Problem festgestellt...

scheint bei allen Dateien die Richtung 2GB gehen der Fall zu sein (bei 3 verschiedenen ist es mir passiert).

- Die im Originalthread angesprochene scheint zwischenzeitlich gelöt zu sein.
- die zweite find ich nicht mehr. Du weisst, ab 30 lät das Langzeitgedätnis nach. Da darf man nicht mehr so lange warten mit solchen Fragen ;)
- die Dritte ist in einer privaten Gruppe. Ich schicke Dir ne Freundeseinladung und kopier sie in meinen acc.
