Daniel replied on August 15, 2008 06:12 to the question "How to uninstall from a Mac?" in Wuala:
Hi David,
davidak is right. If you installed the application, all data is stored in ~/Library/Application Support/Wuala and the app itself is in /Applications. If you only started it from the web, everything will be kept in /tmp. This directory is usually emptied regularly by the operating system.
Hope that helps.

@ultramizer
Bitte starte Wuala einmal vom Terminal aus mit dem folgenden Befehl (copy-paste ins Terminal sollte gehen) und poste die Ausgabe:
exec java -ea -cp /Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/Program/WualaStarter.jar:/Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/Program/swt.jar:/System/Library/Java/ -Djava.library.path="/Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/Program" -Xmx256M -XstartOnFirstThread -Djava.awt.headless=true -Dwuala.basedir=/Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/ com.wuala.platform.WualaStarterMac -project WualaMAC Kolumbus

Here are some other things you should try:
1. Launch Wuala from the Terminal by the following command and let us know the error message:
exec java -ea -cp /Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/Program/WualaStarter.jar:/Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/Program/swt.jar:/System/Library/Java/ -Djava.library.path="/Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/Program" -Xmx256M -XstartOnFirstThread -Djava.awt.headless=true -Dwuala.basedir=/Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/ com.wuala.platform.WualaStarterMac -project WualaMAC Kolumbus
2. enter the following commands in the terminal and post the output (you can remove the lines containing directories/files not related to Wuala, but at least the lines for . , .. and WualaSharedData should be included):
ls -al /Users/Shared
ls -al /Users/Shared/WualaSharedData
This might help us in isolating the problem...

JollyRoger, I have Wuala running on my G5 with 10.5.2 (I am actually developing the Mac-specific features on that machine).
Could you launch wuala through the terminal by using the following command:
exec java -ea -cp /Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/Program/WualaStarter.jar:/Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/Program/swt.jar:/System/Library/Java/ -Djava.library.path="/Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/Program" -Xmx256M -XstartOnFirstThread -Djava.awt.headless=true -Dwuala.basedir=/Users/Shared/WualaSharedData/ com.wuala.platform.WualaStarterMac -project WualaMAC Kolumbus
And paste the output here?
Thanks!
Daniel

Danke.

Good point, bagelcat. I had not thought of that.
If (re)installing Java 1.5 (which is required for Wuala to run) does not work: Do you run Wuala from a restricted account (without administrator privileges)? When you launch Wuala for the first time, it should create a folder in /Users/Shared/WualaSharedData - is this folder there?
