conniecrosby reported a problem in Magma on December 04, 2009 07:37:
There is a specific video I cannot seem to add. Where can I get help? When I try to add by the URL or the "Add to Magma" bookmarklet on Firefox, two copies of the video show up and it asks me to choose. I click on one to add it, and I get sent back to the search for a video box. I am not given the option to add using embed code. I also tried searching for the video, but it does not come up.
This is the video:

How do I mark that I "like" a video? There seems to be a count for this, but I can't figure out how to "like" something. Help, please?-

A comment on the problem "Unable to send a DM to someone who's already following me" in Twitter:
You can only DM people who are following you. If they are not following you, you can send them @ reply messages, but those messages are not private. For example, to send me a message (since I am not following you) include @conniecrosby in a regular Twitter post. Cheers. – conniecrosby, on October 13, 2009 03:23
conniecrosby replied on April 24, 2009 01:21 to the problem "Used to Love Ning, Now I Hate iIt!" in Ning:
I have two objections to the change:
(1) it is fine to let us talk amongst ourselves and resolve the problem, but really we do need interaction from the Ning folk to resolve some problems and get authoritative answers. Just saying we are on our own to help each other figure things out is pretty cold. I am glad to see Athena here, and hope she and other Ning people will reconsider this position. Twitter did the same thing (dumped us into Get Satisfaction without any support people) and it tends to be collections of people with similar problems complaining to each other. Not always positive.
(2) It becomes more difficult to find answers as trouble-shooting info is now in one more place. I already find it scattered and difficult to find.-

A comment on the question "Twitter on Telus" in Twitter:
People have reported tests via Telus, and saw it working briefly on my Rogers account too. I am hopefully this service will resume soon. – conniecrosby, on February 26, 2009 17:56

conniecrosby replied on February 15, 2009 20:26 to the question "Why don't I fit in?" in Twitter:
Twitter is about building relationships with individual people and doesn't really have ready-made groups. You need to work slowly over time to find people you know in real life as well as others. Try searching twitter using http://search.twitter.com for the terms "real estate" or "real estate investing" to find people who have tweeted those phrases, see who might be interested.
Part of it could be your approach. If your profile page looks too promotional or commercial, and if you do not look like a real person, it could be turning people off. Also, put something with personality into your profile to help people get to know the real you. Don't run out and follow 2,000 people at once. Follow 30-50, see how many reciprocate, and build slowly from there.
Hope this helps!
conniecrosby replied on February 15, 2009 20:19 to the question "Can I have two different usernames/accounts using the same email address?" in Twitter:
tsegirl, Gmail has a work-around. You can create sub-email addresses (I don't know what the technical term is) using your account. For example, if your email is tsegirl @gmail.com, you can set up Twitter accounts with tsegirl+twitter @gmail.com and tsegirl+newname @gmail.com (that is, your name, plus sign, additional name or word, and @gmail.com). Twitter sees them as separate accounts, but anything sent to those email addresses will come back to your main gmail.com account.
Just beware if you get follow requests from Twitter you need to pay attention to which Twitter account they are coming from, and make sure you are signed into that account to follow back.
conniecrosby replied on February 15, 2009 20:12 to the question "how do I include an attachment in my tweet?" in Twitter:
Twitter does not allow for attachments. But, if the item you are referring to exists somewhere on the Internet, you can include a link to it in your tweet. If the web address (URL) is too long to fit into a tweet, try using a service to make the address shorter such at tinyurl.com .
