No Album Art in Songbird 1.2 on Ubuntu 9.04OS: Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit
Songbird: 1.2
All of my songs are m4a (AAC) songs with album art embedded into each song's metadata. iTunes can read every song's art under Windows and EasyTAG can read them all under Ubuntu. Songbird, however, can not see any of the song's album art. I have not modified any values in about:config.
How do I get Album Art to display in Songbird from the metadata?

So you still can't get AAC to play after you install good/bad/ugly? The errors in the terminal will still persist, but AAC should play with bad installed. From what I understand, the errors will be solved in the next release (1.2 I think) of Songbird. – Corey Bodendein, on May 06, 2009 18:34

@ arlen
I solved the AAC problem by installing the gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad package, AAC plays, but now more errors show up if I start it via Terminal:

I installed the Songbird 1.1.2 from GetDeb for 64 bit on a freshly installed Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit.
Any help would be appreciated!!

A comment on the problem "Album Art does not display" in Songbird:
After looking at it more closely, it looks like the songs that do have album art are ones that have .jpgs in the same folder. Ones that don't show album art don't have .jpgs in the same folder. So does Songbird read the song file metadata, or does it just look for pictures in the same folder? – Corey Bodendein, on January 22, 2009 00:34

I just started using Sonbird at version 1.0.0 on Ubuntu 8.10. I imported my iTunes library from my Windows partition and some of them show the album art, but some don't. I think it may be a Linux issue because the same songs that show/don't show the album art are the same in Rythymbox. All of my songs show album art in iTunes on Windows Vista. I used TagScanner or iTunes to embed the album art to my songs. All of my songs are AAC.-
