I have Miro 1.2.7 on Ubuntu Hardy. I tried both Xine and Gstreamer. I used gconf-editor to change gstreater's audiosink, musicaudiosink, and chataudiosink all to alsasink device="hw:2,0" so audio will output to my usb soundcard. Totem, Firefox, everything else plays through the usb soundcard, but Miro still plays through the laptop speakers.
The idea was to hook up the laptop to my TV and use the USB soundcard to output to my stereo system (since the audio quality of the laptop's headphone-out is terrible) so I can watch Miro on the big TV! I even use my Wii remote as a mouse!
Miro is otherwise working great; I just need the sound to output to the correct device. -
