Photo album in a postI haven't much experience with photo albums and never really used them. The problem with photo albums for me, is that they can only exist on a separate URL. I would love to have a photo album in a post at the bottom or something. Or just a way of arranging photos better if you have multiple you want to share in a post. A good example of this is at Gizmodo.com where they sometimes have thumbnails of lots of pictures at the bottom. When you click one it sends you to the full size photo with toggles to click the next photo.

Hi Shawna. Thanks for your response-I appreciate it.
OK, to answer your first question, I guess you are meant to click on the buttons on the left. I never really thought about it before like that. I think it's a good thing that you think they draw attraction because they are meant to provide easy access for readers to come back to the blog.
I am also planning to put an author section on the right where you can see all the others. And now that I think of it, I might revise my header. Thanks!

Hi-I'm on vacation right now and I have very little internet access. I can check later some time. – Cosmo, on February 21, 2009 23:41-

Ad gets cut off
My 300x250 ad gets cut off on the right side a little bit. It's weird because the sidebar is exactly 300 pixels (it's not like I could make it bigger) so it should fit. My site is http://www.blosmo.com The problem is on the left sidebar. The screen shot is above.

Author name should link to Typepad profileThe author name in the post footer should link to their Typepad profile so everyone can see the posts they have written. For example, if I have post 1, post 2, and post 3 on my blog and I have written post 1 and post 2, a viewer will click on my name in the post footer and see post 1 and post 2 on my Typepad profile.

Social bookmarking icons in the post footerHere is a must-have: picture based social bookmarking in the post footer. Feedflare from Feedburner already provides social bookmarking at the bottom of every posts, but it is butt ugly and text-based. What if it was basically the same thing but with small, pretty icons of each bookmarking site. This would make a blog look very professional. It could even go along with this idea: http://tinyurl.com/bjh2xr
We should also be able to say which bookmarking sites we want, the size of the icons, and maybe to custom image for the icon that the user made him/herself. Like it?

Typepad community forumI LOVE Typepad. But I rarely see the other great people that use it. What if there was some sort of forum hosted by you guys (monitored, of course) where Typepad people could get together, chat, and most importantly gain new authors. I am always looking for writers and some community-based forum would be great for finding people interested. Bloggers could even exchange links. This sounds like a big project...Do you like it, or meh?

Easier background imageAlthough adding an image to your background is relatively easy, I think it could be made even easier for novice users. It also requires CSS which is not something every Typepad user has. So, my idea builds off of Youtube. Youtube is great in the way you easily add an image or color to your background with a click of a button. Typepad should have this same feature. Upload an image, have the option of tiling/repeating it, and deciding whether to place it in the header, main content area, background, etc. If the person does not want to upload an image, you should be able to choose a color, gradient, or pre-made pattern. Likey?

Move and customize post footerNot sure if I would use this but here's an idea: what if we could change how the post footer looked and where it was regarding the post? For example, I could move the data from the post footer from the bottom to the top right of the post. This will make it easier for the reader to see the comments, author, etc. with a glance to the right or left instead of scrolling down to the bottom of the post. Then you should also be able to add a colored box around it or picture to highlight it. Like it?

Reply text boxes should be resizableHi. I love getsatisfaction. One problem I have is that when I go to reply to a comment, the text box is really small. When I write a lot, I have to scroll down with my trackpad, I can't see everything I wrote alltogether. The text boxes for replies should be resizable. Like it?

Hi. I sent in my application yesterday (what Colleen suggested). Everything you say sounds great and I'm glad you've been so helpful. I don't really have a preference, but a feature on the blog would be Awesome! Whatever you would like to do. And you mention "talk about how a new feature suggested here made it into the product. " Really? Which idea? That is really cool. Get back to me.
