Redistributable Graffle View with Action SupportBeing able to export to PDF and have the canvases link to each other is great. However, I'd like to be able to take this one step further and export my diagram to some common format (or even a standalone program) that can support my other Actions (specifically turning layers on/off) without the recipient needing to own a copy of OmniGraffle.
The HTML export seems to be pretty close; perhaps a bit of JavaScript would do the trick?

One thing I just discovered with the grid add-on... it lets me define the size of my contained area without having to guess the size of the container itself.
For example: the Web Browser container has a big menu bar at the top and a status bar at the bottom... meaning the content area inside is a bunch smaller (and unknown) relative to its full size. With Grids, I just have to expand the grid to my desired size and then expand the Web Browser until it fits around it. Balsamiq's snap lines make this easy to do.

Heh, I'm definitely bringing in a lot of pixel-perfect desires (and feel free to treat them as such).
Here's what I was doing: I wanted to create a container that was 2/3 the width of my parent container and centered. Getting the size right was super-easy (way better than any drawing program I've seen; usually the size is in tiny text on the status bar). However, getting the position right was very difficult; I had to stop moving and re-hover over the transparent properties box to see it.
I supposed with centering snap (a much more important feature) lines this won't be an issue... but it would still be nice to have.

I definitely have it at the back layer, and always lock it so that I'm not selecting it (all which works well).
The grids look interesting as a workaround... I'd like to see it added into the base product though. "Snap to Grid" is always a useful feature (although so far I haven't been bothered by it's absence). The biggest problem with the grid bmml is that it's only for horizontal alignment (though I think that could be fixed easily).
BTW, I think the current alignment lines work very well (except for the lack of centering lines which I see is is already on the idea list).

Show position while moving objectsWhen you're resizing a container, you get a nice, real-time, & visible display of the size. I'd like that same display to be shown for the position (top left) while moving an object.
Right now, I can only see the position in the properties box for the object... but it turns transparent (and unreadable) as soon as I move my cursor off of the box.

Show graph paper lines through containerIf you have a container (and I almost always do) it blocks the appearance of graph paper lines... meaning they aren't useful for positioning everything inside the container (ie: almost everything else).
There's also no transparency option for (at least the web browser) container so you can't fake it (though that's a less-than-ideal situation anyway).
What might work is if, while you're dragging or resizing any object, you display the graph paper lines over top of everything else (similar to what you do with snap lines).-

Craig asked a question in The Omni Group on March 05, 2009 00:57:
Align Fonts by BaselineI have two text objects with different font sizes. The larger one has a descender. I want to align them so that their baselines are aligned. However, OmniGraffle is taking the descender into account when aligning the bottoms of the text boxes, meaning that the smaller-font text box appears lower than (most of) the larger one.
