Hi Fraser - the latest: I just updated to Mac OS 10.5.7, and everything else has been running smoothly... so I thought I would try, just for the heck of it, to upload my first photos since then without changing the first title, and it crashed as it has always done for me. The work-around of changing the titls still allows uploads for me.

Hi Fraser,
I have installed the update and have run FlickrExport 3.0.1 twice now, the first time without making any changes to the title of the first image, to see if that would still hang FlickrExport and iPhoto. It did. The second time I made a change to the title of the first image and everything uploaded normally. So, users will still find that they must make a change to the title of the first image.

Use Flickr geotags to tag locations for iPhoto files.I am interested in an application that would speed up my geotagging in iPhoto.
Over the years I have added geotags to over 6,000 of my photos in Flickr. Now that Apple includes geotagging in the latest iPhoto release, I would love it if an application existed that allowed me to geotag my photos in iPhoto from the versions that were put on Flickr. The most difficult aspect of this would be matching the files uploaded to Flickr with the originals located on my computer, but surely that is not an insurmountable problem. Even if this were application had to use a dialogue box to ask the user to confirm every single match it would still be far faster than having to find all of the geo-coordinates manually again. I am sure I am not the only person who would be interested in an application such as this!

Time for another update.
After continued daily use of FlickrExport 3.0, with "Copy title and description back to iPhoto" still checked on, it continues to work without fail. That is, I now always change the title of the photos in FlickrExport. It only ever crashed if I did not change the title.
What is new is that for the first time since upgrading to 3.0, I created a new set for the photos to be loaded into in Flickr. The set was created, with the correct title, but the description I wrote did not make it to Flickr... and I wrote a good long description. That will need some attention from you guys.

After many more exports, still with "Copy title and description back to iPhoto" checked, I think I have cracked what makes it crash, and what doesn't: my experience, consistently repeatable, has been that it will crash if you have not changed the title. If you have a changed title, no crash.
I attempted many exports with all sorts of variables checked, unchecked, filled in, blank, in the dialogue box, but always with the "Copy title" preference in the default ON position, and the only consistent results have come from actually changing the title of the photo in FlickrExport. It works beautifully, as it should, when I do that.

Whoops! Now I have had it hang with multiple photos. Crap. – Craig White, on March 12, 2009 21:57
Craig White asked a question in Connected Flow on March 12, 2009 21:25:
Feature change request: bigger thumbnails please! The thumbnails in FlickrExport 3.0 are tiny now, and with my particular workflow, it would help immensely to see a larger pic of the image when it is clicked on. I have been doing all my titling and describing in FlickrExport (it has been faster than doing it in iPhoto I have found) and I would like to still do that, but the thumbnails need to be bigger again to help differentiate similar shots!
Please consider what you could do in that regard!

I've been having the hanging problem... sometimes. Always when trying to send just one photo. On occasion when sending two photos. Never when sending more than that (although I have not tried every different number above two of course...)
I have not switched off the "Copy title etc to iPhoto" because, well, I want to copy it back. I certainly tried changing all the other settings in the FE dialogue box, but only sending multiple photos seems to keep it from hanging.
Using 10.5.6, iPhoto 8.0.1, FlickrExport 3.0 on a 2.53 GHz MacBook Pro.-
