ive said the rules are ok i think but they should be applied retroactively..if this is his third offense then that should be the penalty..we have spent many days on this topic..i still dont understand y there is such a refusal to apply the rules retroactively to him..i didnt know this was his third time yet there is still this overwhelming desire in treating him fairly..i thought that after one episode he was being treated fairly but after 2 how much more fair should they be?

on the questions of sports..if u look i only have 5 voids..4 by me for errors and one was a duplicate...i make the questions because i like sports and made fair odds in my opinion..i did research them and if u check most were 50-50 or close and to game a 50-50 question would be very difficult because there is only so much u can do with the odds if u think about it..the others will really set the odds by the time i get to them..my suspend dates and times were b4 the game etc..so make sure u check ur facts b4 u accuse..i was making about 9 questions a day for nba, nhl, and college not only for myself but for other sports fans..those r very ez sports to check on..if u look lately i havent made as many because others have been making them so i can take a rest because creating all those questions was very time consuming..also if u go into the getsatisfaction i put alot of the things i do out there for everyone to see..if i was just gaming i wouldnt have anything to write..i am high on a few lists but highest on sports because that is what i enjoy and know the most about..i have casual interest in the other areas so i bet accordingly and have to research them to bet..as ive said if u read my post much of this is being able to b online alot because u are able to buy and sell markets at good prices..but whatever i guess everyone is fair game but all ive said is he should not get to be on the leaderboard because that is y he did this in the first place and to leave him there is rewarding him..he should be on step 2 because he already did step 1..his apology means nothing because he already accomplished what he wanted to do and all of his time will be in vain if he is off the leaderboard as i feel mine is now by allowing him to stay there

this is fake money..i do it for fun..if somebody is allowed to cheat to get to the same place i am then it is not fun for me anymore and if they dont care then they dont care..i have to put in double the time as a cheater because he has easy access..destry and i have been here from the start trying to make the site better..if they dont need or want us anymore fine by me..i was the one with the most to lose when they were going to reset but i tried to make it work for the site to grow with suggestions and stuff..if theyd rather have a cheater on here and on the leaderboard then thats their choice but im going to say what i think is right
crudsy replied on April 05, 2008 01:16 to the problem "I am on STRIKE" in Hubdub:
i have already said i will do the same and i have tried to explain they r alienating many users for one..but its their site so my only choice is no patricipation..i was willing to do what i could to help what i thought was a site trying to do the right thing but i must have a different idea of what the right thing is..the sentence by administration about being fair to him completely blew my mind

i think the rules are fair but i dont get the obsession with protecting this guy..he has made a mockery of the site not once but twice..he should lose his 50 percent because he was already warned..he shouldnt be on the leaderboard because he didnt do it even remotely in a legitimate way..what really isnt fair is that this has had to come up again after the bad feelings the first time when we thought if it would happen again it would be dealt with appropriately but instead being fair to him is the priority?..to say im dissapointed is an understatment but to say im not surprised is not
crudsy replied on April 03, 2008 23:21 to the problem "Suspend v Settlement Times" in Hubdub:
i agree with american.i think this allows people to play a different type of game for both the creator and anyone who wants to participate..the only thing i would say is it might be helpful for the person creating a question with an earlier than expected suspend date to state that in the background but it really is up to the person wagering to look at the settlement details and the suspend date

take what i say as u wish..alot of this is computer access i think..it allows u to buy and sell at good prices but here are some things i have done..everyone can have their own system..1-try only placing wagers up to 300 bux at a time (for those who have it)..more than that really tilts the odds but for some reason some questions, especially i find politic ones tilt even more so watch the odds and it allows u to cash out some of ur wagers at good profits or less losses and keep some others if u want.-2-three words i try to hubdub by (not always succesful)..dont be greedy..if u are making a profit ur comfortable with cash out..its not worth making a few hundred dollars to lose everything..cash out and move on-3-this one may be time consuming at first but will save u time in the long run..go through all pages of questions..find ones ur interested in either short or long term and do what i call open a portal which is to put down a low amount just so u have it in ur hubdub so when u go to ur hubdub and it gets closer to closing or u want to do more research u can and it allows u to check the odds to see whats going on with it..once u do that u really only have to check for new questions-4-when i see stuff at like 90 percent or whatever even if it looks sure like brittany spears moving in with klum i could make a small amount but to me placing big money on a person like britanny isnt worth it because she does some far out stuff..id rather put money on something like a corporation or country because that seems like a more intricate process-5-wager on what u like not just the odds because just because u think a market may move big doesnt mean ull b online when it happens so at least if u dont ull have made a wager u wanted..i'll take my 10k now destry..:)..i hope this doesn't help people too much though

yes this was a good solution..as long as new people don't see the large numbers people have overall and realize it is a quarterly game i think they won't be as discouraged to participate..and as machine said it may in the future have to be revisited but i think the discussion would have to begin earlier than right b4 it would start
crudsy replied on March 21, 2008 02:40 to the discussion "Leaderboard end-of-quarter changes" in Hubdub:
my problem isnt some kind of bragging right or glory..i don't care about that..my thing is if i start out with 20k and have a bad quarter ill be at 1k for the next quarter like im just starting again..my gains should at least allow for me to compete at the 20k level for the quarter if i have the assets to put myself there..to have anybody who has even a 100k have to go back to 1k because they have a bad quarter i don't think is right but the bottom line is the adm will do what they think is right for the site..the question is will they gain more people than they lose doing this the way they are proposing..if they keep peoples original gains seperate from whats shown on the leaderboard people will still see 20k or 10k or whatever when they see the leaderboards and it wont look intimidating but there should be some way for the people who have made these gains to use them to continue to compete in some way close to the way they have
crudsy replied on March 21, 2008 01:50 to the discussion "Leaderboard end-of-quarter changes" in Hubdub:
good mix of people..i dont get the math stuff but most of u do..from what i gather if the long term predictions are watered down this much noone will wager on them and this will become more about short term gain questions..then people will stop creating the long term questions and people will create questions which must end in the quarter which would take alot of the fun out of it..but alot of times the best bets for good odds are the long term ones..i just think that the people who are used to betting at least 1k on a question will not come back if they r ever forced to go back to 1k for a quarter..but thats just my opinion
crudsy replied on March 20, 2008 22:48 to the discussion "Leaderboard end-of-quarter changes" in Hubdub:
similar to what destry said..why couldnt we dip into our funds so we don't have to be in the 1k tier if we have enough to put ourselves into the 20k tier...it would keep those of us who built ourselves up still involved at a high enough level to keep us still interested while keeping the integrity of your tiering for each quarter..if we ran out of our original funds then we could be put back to 1k..i know if i was allowed to keep my funds to dip into so i don't have to go back to 1k unless i have to my interest would still be pretty high
crudsy replied on March 20, 2008 21:04 to the discussion "Leaderboard end-of-quarter changes" in Hubdub:
i guess a 5..ive always said to have a leaderboard tiered by when people started or by gain by quarter either by money or percentage but i guess the fact that the people with the money can manipulate markets comes into play..as destry i havent really wagered at all since this announcement because i am still not sure how this will all play out and don't really want to put in the time right now..i understand the need for newcomers to not be overwhelmed and this site needs new people but is there a way to do it without having people who have built up their money just have their assets and future assets reduced to basically 20k and then 1k if they lose the 20k..the fun for me was building enough dollars to wager to be entertained for what i thought would be a while but i could lose it in 1 quarter and continue to try to make the site better at least sportswise in terms of questions..i dont really know if i would even be able to go back to wagering 50 bux on a question..i already did that..do i really want to do it again?..i don't know..another issue is the gaming issue needs to be enforced better if this goes through..people wont have the backing to withstand someone making a mint because the backlash on some elses money will be felt much more
