the only problem i have with this is that if i lose the 20k in one quarter im down to 1000 bux the next so i basically have nothing to show for all the time i put in...could the top people just get the 20k a quarter and the next tier get what they are going to get etc. and when somebody new gets to the next tier thats the amount they get per quarter and have the leaderboards broken down that way either by earnings or percentage and possibly create new tiers as needed..people would have incentive to get to the next tier reagrdless of what they have now and it might be less intimidating..u could also track how long it took them to get to the next tier from when they started

so at this point im locked in to the 20k spot for the next quarter..after that my amount to wager is based only on my earnings for that quarter..so in essence there is no reason for me to continue to wager or cash out at this point because it wont do anything for me anyway except in the history files..is that accurate?

ok..i get it now..so we get money like when we first signed up every quarter if we lose our stake..is this for new people as well as people who have already been on site?..this is probably the only way for the site to continue and as long as i will have some cash to keep myself busy im ok with whatever..i told everybody id be off the leaderboard eventually...ha

;)..i'm superstitious..nothing personal..i never had friend board b4 im not gonna start now..just like i wager very little on questions about myself or my standings..bad karma..but i will say it is very unfair that a person like destry who could make a killing but doesnt and in fact let others know about survivor is behind some others but as i stated b4 that is on the adminstrators not the person..i am hoping at some point that they see allowing that to continue will hurt them in the long run by losing someone like destry who is good for the site

i agree with jenni..any reality or pre recorded show not done live should not be allowed to be wagered on so the finale of survivor which is live would be allowed as would any other live event (i.e.-american idol). Some people could take advantage of the ability to make questions and wager on the answer with the knowledge already known and thereby build up their hubdub money very easily. Destry knew all the survivor stuff which cost me thousands to finally believe but he did not take advantage of his knowledge to continue to create questions. As far as people making money on specific questions with the seeming knowledge of the answer we really should not blame the person doing it..it is up to the staff to say this is enough and it is obvious what is going on and we will not allow it anymore either by removing the participant or not allowing the questions or both..if they are allowing it to happen then the person is not breaking the rules..they have already stated the questions can continue so why would they stop?..i just find it interesting that most people see whats going on with some questions but they are alowed to continue while other seemingly legit questions which should cause no controversy at all are redefined or voided or whatever..now back to my dungeon i go

these are some of the major problems ive seen so far leading to these bad feelings and some of the people that are really good for the long term viability of this site leaving or tuninhg out..1-u can't say we are changing how we are settling the question (ie-ebay auction) and not void it regardless of how much money is in the market and leave it open so-a-people take a loss and chenge their bet with the possibility u change ur mind again and lose again and b-people profiting from the change without taking an original loss...void it and redo it again via an administrator or something..people can then rebet via ur new settling idea-2-u can't have any adminstrator whether he is from that area or not state any opinion on how a question should be settled b4 hand..it will influence people...y would u leave the spitzer ? open after stating ur opinion...right or wrong it should have been settled or suspended or voided pending discussion..3-i think the way u go about making decision is more important than the decisions..it must b consistent-4-this should be fun and simple and common sense..instead it is not fun and being ruled by reading deeply into questions or being guided into reading into it by a user..eventualy not only will people stop wagering but they will also stop putting out questions because they may not feel confident in writing it due to all these issues..u cant please everybody..let simplicity and logic make decisions..it will make everyones experience better i think..i actually started writing the sports stuff because there was only 1 guy writing sabre hockey questions and i got tired of it..ha..but gladly there are others like sdchargers creating them with good odds..good luck to all and remember..i will get caught

the problem with users deciding on questions are many although in theory it may be a good idea-1-if any of the users or all of them make money there will be accusations of collusion-2-i think there are way too many questions for there to be 5 users to go through all of them-3-they are not being taken at face value but rather more analyzed than i would think-4-the real deciders on settlement may not see it as the 5 users do when it comes on settling so whats the point?..i cashed out but at this point im sure there are plenty of people who cashed out for the 16th and placed money on the 23rd hoping to recoup some of their losses..they realistically cant go back to the 16th now because then people have double losses and there will be more anger...there is no way this questions should have been left open after the opinion of the hd crew was given..it should have been settled as the 23rd then and discussed afterwards..y say its the 23rd and leave it open..if it wasnt the 23rd then it could have been reopened..whatever this is just my opinion

i agree with machine and destry..keep it simple..it was reported by news that he resigned today..that should have been the answer..yes..why was more analysis needed?..if every question has to be broken apart for every scenario nobody is going to waste their time being involved..its taking their time anyway for fake money..do u think people will waste more time for analysis..as was stated it should have been suspended b4 opinion was given and if opinon was no it should have been settled..as others have said use common sense principle..and if it was yes then if he was still in office at some point or something changed reverse it as u did amy winehouse..and asking what color a purple tie should be settled as when there was no purple tie option?..does that really need to be asked..are we analyzing tie colors also..nobody will bother anymore..i cashed out so it doesnt matter to me but i think u r hurting the site for both old and new people by reading inot every question and i feel the settling used to be using common sense..am i wrong?

Love the photos. Some other suggestions-1-Being able to break down the predictions by either category or date or keyword when going into my hubdub because loading it the way it is takes a lloonng time-2-Having a next and previous button on top as well as the bottom of the category pages so you don't need to scroll all the way to the bottom every time-3-Having the ability to delete any previously settled, voided, and cashed out predictions because those can be very long as well-4-Maybe a leaderboard broken down by when people joined-if people joined in january they are on a seperate board from people who joined in march..this may encourage people to stay in it longer..anyway good job by all staff and users
