I can buy that Comast might need room for a few more HD channels, but in our area they are getting rid of channels 35-82. This would allow them to launch 144 HD channels or over 480 more digital channels. Pardon me, but I don't think there is any way they are adding this many more channels. More troubling to me is that they are doing this at a time when much of the public is already confused about on-air analog going away. Most anywhere you look you find messaging that if you have cable you won't need to change anything to continue with your service.

Well this certainly is not true if you are a comcast customer. My elderly parents are already stressed out over having to get cable. They were just set up so that they could still use the same remotes using extended basic. Now they will need to get a box and learn to use the comcast remote. And yes, I will get calls every few days when the TV is switched from channel 3 and nothing works anymore. Too bad we are locked into one cable provider.
