Tags is not a solution. I have to tag all the websites I visit every day, and often buried in all the surfing websites is an application that I actually use. It's a treasure hunt. I don't have time for it.

The voting system is clearly flawed. I mean it provides a nice default but it's obvious that that default won't work for everyone. Tags are cool for special things but tagging untagged items is a real pain.

I've reached my limit of usefulness with RescueTime until this feature is added. If we don't get some kind of confirmation from the rescuetime developers then I'll come back in 6 months to see if it's there. Overall it was cute and fun but it has told me what I already know. My productivity is between 1.5 & 1.8, I spend very little time in email or chat. So until it can tell me more about what sites I visit and what applications i use, I really don't see a use for me.

I agree, not having the capability to override a category is a showstopper for me. I started using tags but then I have to tag every single application, every single website, etc. It's too much work and I can't do it any more. So until I can override a category I'm afraid RescueTime isn't much use to me.

It's been 6 months since this thread was started so I'm not expecting it to be fixed any time soon. That's sad, because otherwise it's a great application. I hate to see a project go unused because of such a simple missing feature.

    how do slices work?
It's not clear to me how slices work.

I visit trading forums and photography forums. So I tag them with either trading or photography and then forums.

When I click forums I can see the time I spend in forums. But what I'd like to know is how much time was spent in trading forums and how much was spent in photography forums. One is my business and one is a waste of time (ok it's for fun), so it's important to distinguish between them.

    Is this possible?

How to filter on multiple tags
I tag websites as work or fun and I also tag more descriptively such as forum. The problem is there are forums for work and forums for fun and I'd like to distinguish between the two. As it is now, there is no way to filter on multiple tags. So I have to do something like:

    work
    work-forum
    fun
    fum-forum

Am I missing a better way to do this? My workaround is very unintuitive.
