3. Go to the tools, select settings and then network
4. Select the “3G or WCDMA only” option
5. You may then start connecting to the Internet
If the problem persists, we suggest you take the modem and your laptop to the nearest business center for troubleshooting. You may also e-mail us your mobile number and description of the problem at custhelp@globetel.com.ph.

Custhelp replied on November 16, 2009 03:09 to the idea "Don't be a victim" in Globe Telecom:
Hi.
You are charged P0.15 per kb for internet connection; this is the default charging of Globe accounts (volume-based). Your connection to the internet is the reason why you were charged. We suggest that you register to TIME browsing by texting TIME to1111 for free. You will be charged P5 per 15 minutes.
Here are some reminders regarding the use of the Iphone:
§ Choose Time Browsing for best value browsing and enjoyment on your iPhone 3G. To activate, Text TIME to 1111 for FREE.
§ Charging begins as soon as you open the Safari, YouTube, Stocks, Weather or other web-based applications.
§ Clicking on the menu button ends your internet connection to Safari, YouTube, Stocks, Weather or other web-based applications.
§ Instant Messengers on the iPhone can be accessed via Safari which means clicking the menu button ends your IM session When setting email, best to set this to Manual vs. Push. If you set it on Push, it will constantly connect to the internet causing unnecessary charging and even drain your battery’s life. Settings à Fetch New Data à Push (On/Off) & Fetch (Manually

Thank you.
