I'm back to square-one of crashing every time I reply again. Only thing I did differently since "no-crash time" was that I checked "cookies" because I couldn't see a YouTube video without doing so. Then, when I unchecked cookies, believe it or not, I couldn't even get beyond the sign-on screen....nothing would happen. I'm utterly confused. – Cynthia, on April 20, 2009 14:18

Thank you! I disabled Java and haven't crashed yet! Unfortunately, I'm not as knowledgeable as I'd like to be and I'm not sure how disabling Java will be a disadvantage. However, I'm VERY RELIEVED that my gmail (I rely on it for business) hasn't crashed yet!

Gmail too slow in IE, but crashes in Firefox

Gmail began responding extremely slowly. I thought it was due to my IE browser. I installed Firefox and it seemed to be fine. I did the add-on "Glubble" from Mozilla Firefox, a skin, and then Gmail crashed repeatedly. I uninstalled the add-on, to no avail.

Gmail won't work at an appropriate speed in Internet Explorer, and crashes in Firefox.

Any suggestions?

I went to tools>add-ons and uninstalled the only "Glubble" one I found there. It didn't work. Wondering if I need to re-install Firefox now.

It's a terrible problem!
