Thanks for the hint. I've improved the detection of the interface, so Wuala will automatically use Netbios if Winsock isn't available after the next update (planned for Monday).

I was having the same problem as fabdn - "10047:CreateSocket - Address family not supported by protocol family", on 3 different machines I tried. But I did some research and made it work:
In the JLAN config file wualadrive.xml (developers will know where to find it, others better not mess with it), I changed the used api to Netbios:
<win32netbios> (default is winsock)
I have no idea why winsock doesn't work (I'll tell you if I find out...), but it's running fine now. Perhaps you could make the api to use configurable, so I don't have to hack the internal JAR files in the future ;)
