Looking for more control over notifications

I looove foursquare. I really do. I love the push notifications too. But as I add more friends and the service becomes more popular, the text messages are getting really annoying. It should be easier to manage who I get pings from. One click, down the line of my contacts, no refresh. Because it's so difficult to change my settings right now, I'm tempted to turn it off. And I don't want to do that!

Thanks for your feedback. We've been making lots of changes lately. Right now, "competitions" are created by CtoC staff members for everyone on the site. Members can create "challenges." We don't have a way for you to challenge another member directly but it's a good idea. Consider it added to the list of things to consider as we continue developing. Thanks again!

What's up with the delays?

I've been experiencing a lot of delays lately. So much that it has now taken me longer to fly from LA to SF than it would to drive on my two most recent flights. There are a lot of people that commute between the two cities and Southwest used to be a reliable, cheap and easy way to do this. But the planes are either falling apart or Southwest is experiencing other problems that are manifesting in delays and bad service. Can we expect an improvement soon or should we just make the switch completely to Virgin America?
